Ron Paul, Fox News, And The Ding-Dang-Deelio Lies and Grandpas and Evil Eyes.by Scott from Oregon

My Grand Pops used to furrow his brow, look me in the eye, and ask, "What’s the ding-dang-deelio?"
That was when I knew the lies were up. There was no more fudging the truth. There was no more putting the blame elsewhere. I couldn’t drag my brother into this. There was no more shrugging of the shoulders.
"I dunno nuthin!’" wasn’t going to cut it. It was me and the terse and tense question that hung in the air like a rain shower ready to let go the thunder and lightning and a torrential downpour.
I needed to fess up or be shown to be an out and out liar. Those were my choices. The jig was now up. The lie was so obvious I could not utter it without feeling horrific.
I had to tell the truth.
Grand Pops is dead now, gone many years in fact. But the ding-dang-deelio comes back into my mind every so often. I am reminded of it when I see someone so blatantly full of horse manure that I want to stare them down, look them in the eye, and ask the question my salty old Grand Pops pinned me with so many times growing up.
"What’s the ding-dang-deelio?"
Sometimes he poked an accusatory finger in my little boy’s chest and it hurt.
These days, I want to grab the suits responsible for putting on the entertainment sections of the major TV media-casts-- what they now refer to as "the news"-- and ask the same thing.
"What’s the ding-dang-deelio?"
There is a ding-dang-deelio going on alright, right in front of our American noses, and we are haplessly shrugging our shoulders as if it were acceptable.
And nobody is pinning the networks to the question. Or more accurately, those that are trying are still marginalized by the elite who control the networks. The eye isn’t fierce enough. The stare isn’t acute enough. There isn’t my Grand Pops’ awful-honest and wise visage backing up the eye with folded arms. There are no ramifications adding weight to the glare.
So far, the networks are allowed to shrug their shoulders, blame others, and wiggle around the question.
"What’s the ding-dang-deelio?"
Wolf Blitzer- "We are here in the situation room and we have done nothing wrong."
Sean Hannity- "It’s THEM! They did it! Them! They’re spamming everything!"
Chris Mathews- "They want to play hardball? I’ll play hardball! I’ll be the pitcher! Catch this!"
Has it all become such a game?
One of the side effects of the unusual run of Ron Paul for President is that the fix is now so obvious, it is painful to watch. When Gravel and Dennis Kucinich slowly started to be exed out of the Democratic equation, there was a murmur and a ripple of understanding. People knew the media was pulling the plug on these two, and some people complained. But it was explainable and had wiggle room. The support was solid but it was not large enough or deep enough. The media could shrug their collective shoulders and say, "sorry fellas, but we need to move on".
With Ron Paul it is different.
Why?
The inescapable fact that he is backed by a solid and broad base. The inescapable fact that he has the money to fight a good fight. The inescapable fact that the numbers for him are out there in America; the signs are all over-- and I mean real signs, printed in ink and displayed on lawns and rooftops and everywhere in-between; the meet-up groups have formed; the grassroots appeal is "a fire on the prairie" to steal someone’s line.
Ron Paul is a phenomenon. His elect-ability is now definitely debatable, definitely news worthy, and definitely well within the thick of the likes of a Romney, a Guilliani, and a Huckabee. His viability is now a matter of taste, not media decision-making and backroom flimflamming.
So why is he still being left out of polls? Why does Fox "news" call him a "pinhead"? Why is there an obvious and blatant effort directed at him by all of the "news" media entertainment outlets, using words like "crackpot" to attempt to diminish his ideas which are catching on all across the country? Why?
Just who are pulling the strings and why are Americans going for it?
What I sincerely wish was that there were enough clones of my Grand Pops around that as a group (almost like a lynch mob) they would be willing to march down to these studios and raise the evil eyebrow at these evil lying potato-heads and glare into their souls and in front of the American people-- no wiggle room allowed-- simply ask "WHAT’S THE DING-DANG-DEELIO?"

The 2004 election was stolen and the 2008 election will be too. The servers for the diebold touchscreen machines were in the same basement as the RNC! The head of the OHIO election commission said that anyone with a wifi connection and the motivation could have swung by the election offices and changed the vote however they wanted. Exit polls in 2004 showed kerry 6.7% ahead, and FAUX news claimed that this tried-and-true method of determining the winner is no longer valid and blahblahblah! The corporations are in control, lobbyists tell our offifcials what to vote for and we the people no longer have any power.
Just to play devil's advocate: Dr. Paul has not yet broken through ten percent in a national poll. Putting pressure on Fox is great, but telling all your friends and family about Paul's message would be better.
Fox is a "private" company, maybe it's sold out to Gov, or maybe just does it on its own. they do have a right to include or exclude anybody from the FOX debate. That is not the point, yes they are trying to govern people ( old theme - they are smarter than we are), what we can do?
1. Ignore them completely - do not watch TV news, especially that debate between 5 miserables.
2. use all we can use - for example Ads before and after the debate - could be very interesting ads too: specifically designed for the occasion
3. Put full pages Ads in Iowa, NH papers
4.continue canvassing, talking to people, do what we do best
5. The most important - know that WE ARE RIGHT and we will prevail
Leaving RP out will back-fire on them in many ways.
Leaving him out of the debates only tells the viewers that he is a real threat to them because of his popularity. Instead, they will present the losers they are trying to push who will probably do a pretty good job of shooting each other in the foot.
I am sure that there will be many viewers who have been sitting on the fence trying to decide which way to go, will probably join the RP revolution after watching the faux fiasco.
Actually the media trying to marginalize and Kucinich and Gravel is understandable ONLY in America. In any other western democracy, say France or Germany, each candidate, no matter how small his or her popularity and support, would be given the same amount of time in a debate as the major candidates.
Only in Yoo Ess of Ey does the media actually work to prop up some and marginalize other candidates.
This is the dumbest introduction to an article I've ever read, but at least you get to a decent conclusion -- Ron Paul does need to get the equal attetion other candidates get, and Fox news is definitely being the most biased POS that it is.
Quick Question... Can anyone please clarify who controls the mainstream media? Is there a secret boardroom full of white guys in suits somewhere making decisions for FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, the NY Times, Wash Post, etc. about which candidates to back and which to ignore? I'm no fan of MSM, but to insinuate that there is some conspiratorial dark force pulling the strings behind the scenes is too much for me to swallow.
re: feckineejit
Yes, the OHIO vote was stolen.. but you think they can pull this off nation-wide? I don't. Its not every location that has paperless Diebold scam machines.
Stop being such a pessimist!

I offer another suggestion. There is alot of support, including myself for Dr. Paul. The problem right now with polling is that a great deal of the support is coming from people who have droped out of the system or have never been in the system. As a result, these people will not get polled. When these people show up to vote is when you will see the change I believe. I know in my area there are hundreds who are not in the system now, but time to vote they will be. This gives me hope that Dr. Paul will soon be in the first tear.

It cut my comment off. Must be an apostrphe. Is there a conspiracy in the news media and the government? See this book here. It is called Rule by Secrecy by Jim Marrs.

Fox News' corporate sponsors would no doubt be interested to know that, due to their affiliation with a corrupt and biased network, we are boycotting their products. Here is a list of contact information for Fox News' sponsors.
Please write to them to voice your disapproval of Fox News' decision to exclude a legitimate presidential candidate.

why is he still low in poll
answer-having declared low in the poll all year around is their (msm) srategy so when they fix up the diebold voting machine it will come out the same low percentage. they are crookedly smart and unfortunetly we can not do nothing about the diebold machine thats why they are so arrogant and of course because owning your favor hobbys like monday night football, etc you sheepisly keep pluging into their network....
1. "Is there a secret boardroom full of white guys in suits somewhere making decisions for FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN ..." Â
You need to add NPR to this list - NPR is as dismissive, disparaging and biased as the corporate stations. Â Â
2. Â "...when they fix up the diebold voting machine it will come out the same low percentage."
Vote fraud only works on close elections - it does NOT work for landslides. Ergo -Every Ron Paul Supporter Must Vote !! And get their friends to vote for Ron Paul !! Use paper ballots if at all possible. If not possible, make sure your vote has registered correctly. Do whatever possible to prevent machine fraud.
3. As reported on NolanChart, a recent ARG poll put Ron Paul at a double-digit 10% (up from 4% or some such faux number - as the other guys are slipping). So, as often reported, Ron Paul's actual support is 3-4 times the 'national poll' numbers, that puts Ron Paul at 30-40% - i.e., Winning !! Â
70% of Americans want the end to war NOW..Ron Paul is the only real anti-war candidate..just based on this & this alone, Ron Paul should be polling 40-50% nationwide.. need boots on the ground in polling facilities in Iowa & NH to stop the voting fraud & we will win
I have blocked my local Fox affiliate and Fox News using my cable box settings. I don't care if dr. Paul is eventually added to the Dec. 6 forum I will never watch a Fox broadcast again. The other "news" networks are not much better than Fox and I'm considering dumping them as well.
