The face of the President of the United States may have changed for a very long time

How the landscape of politics and society in general has and will determine the type of President that will fill the White House.

I sit and wonder now how hard it was for this to come about. I know that people from all backgrounds voted for Barack Obama but let's be honest without the massive black vote this would have never came to be. I remember watching CNN and seeing several states almost solid RED and then as the big cities in those states later were counted they turned Blue. Even CNN stated that the large number of the black vote in the cities would carry the whole state. I then come to realize how divided our country still is. I was quiet and just listened to what was being said. I heard on both sides people were voting because of race. I could not believe my ears. There were people out there that could not name anything Barack Obama stood for but they said they voted for him because they liked him. This was on both sides. I also heard others say they voted for McCain that had no idea what he stood for but they liked him. The one common theme though neither side had the guts to just say was I voted for him because of his color. This seemed to be downplayed by the mainstream media. The facts are there most of the geographical area of the United States that Obama won were predominately black and most that McCain won were predominantly white. If the president was elected by geographical square miles of the United States McCain would have won by a landslide (no pun intended).

Then it hit me. With the rise in the population of black voters and Hispanic voters and then there is the largest voting block of all women voters. When do you think we will see an American white male elected to the white house again? Think about it, if it does not happen again in the next couple elections then it may be a very long time. I mean if the largest voting block women could ever agree on a women to elect they would. At least they seem to be more unbiased.

Now look at the front runners for 2012 and I say unless someone comes storming out of the blue I don't see a male white president winning. I do not care what the polls show if the republican's put up the same old candidates as in 2008 they will not win. Face it the day has come when the non-Hispanic white male is finally the minority. I am not saying this is good or bad. It is just pure fact. Look at the make-up of the states today and you will see more and more women, Hispanics, and blacks being elected. Maybe not because of their gender or race maybe because they connect better to their constituents. Then maybe just maybe the non-Hispanic white male never attempted to connect with the other races or gender because they were not in the minority.

I will go one further. It is a matter of time till the white non Hispanic male in the U, S, Congress and the Senate is the minority. Again not saying good or bad. Infact if that is the make-up of the people of the United States why should it not be in the people who govern the United States.
