The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves..." by Larry Warrick

The above quote continues "...whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their Houses, and Farms, are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a State of Wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army" Gen. George Washington, to his troops before the battle of Long Island.
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released this past Friday shows that 56% of Americans think their federal government has become so large and powerful that it "poses an immediate threat to their rights and freedoms". That's a majority.
US Congressman Ron Paul, took to the floor of their House of Representatives this past week and warned that the Obama administration is now openly stating that they have the power to assassinate any American citizen they deem to be a terrorist threat against them. Powerful black-Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan, of Chicago's Nation of Islam told his followers this week that America is facing "imminent disaster" and they all must start "preparing for the worst". Coming from both ends of the political spectrum, that's a powerful indictment of our federal tyranny.
According to the New York Times: "At a Tea Party protest in Las Vegas, Joe Heck, a Republican running for Congress, blamed both the Democratic and Republican Parties for moving the country toward "socialistic tyranny." In Texas, Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican seeking re-election, threw his support behind the state sovereignty movement. In Indiana, Richard Behney, a Republican Senate candidate, told Tea Party supporters what he would do if the 2010 elections did not produce results to his liking: "I'm cleaning my guns and getting ready for the big show. And I'm serious about that, and I bet you are, too." Politicians on the campaign trail are campaigning on a platform of reigning in the tyranny of the behemoth we call our Federal government.
In his speech to Russian defense experts on March 1, Russian Prime Minister Putin ordered the buildup of strategic weapons and warned that the growing threat of the expansion of American Communism is endangering the entire World and bringing Russia closer to war than at any time since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Other world leaders have expressed similar sentiments toward the burgeoning American empire's massive expansion into communism. Other nations watching this American drama and how we conduct ourselves will play out to the people of the world.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are not alone.
Our elected representatives are speaking our grievances into the congressional record. Electoral candidates are warning of possible consequences in our uncertain future, imploring the American electorate to reverse the course of tyranny at the ballot, advising voters to 'prepare for the worst' if they ignore these pleas. World leaders are warning their respective peoples and governments of the threat of American Communism (how ironic is that?), and like the American people, are also preparing for what may come.
There is no longer any argument for inaction. It is imperative and incumbent upon all of us to once again pick up the mantle of patriotic resistance and act in defense of all we hold dear - our Liberty, our Freedom and our right to Private Property.
The rule of law in America is little more than an illusion. When asked about the lawfulness of legislation that clearly flouts the letter and very nature of our constitution, we are met with "Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?" No, Madame Speaker, this is not a prank or some lame attempt at levity. I would very much like to see exactly where any act of congress passed in the last 12 months (or more, if you like) has any basis in our written constitution; in its spirit or in its letter. Our executive trumpets it's willingness to drag ordinary Americans from their homes or workplaces and end their lives in the name of the obscure phrase 'national security'. Simply say the word and... Stone Cold Dead. This is an abrogation of the very right to life that all other God-given rights are founded on. We no longer live in a nation of laws, we are now subject to the tyranny of men. Ben Franklin's prescient statement "A Republic, if you can keep it" now echoes more of a warning than ever.
Force is not our patriotic standard, nor is it our first resort. The patriots of the revolution also endured a long train of abuses and usurpations. They too petitioned their government for a redress of many and various grievances, only to be rebuffed and ridiculed time and again. As George Washington's words echo from the birth of our country, the fate of unborn Millions do indeed, now depend, on our Courage and Conduct. When does our patience and peaceful protest become gross neglect of our patriotic duties? When do we go on the offense to regain those rights and freedoms so ignomiously stripped from us? When is 'too late'?
Please support Mike Vanderboegh and his Sipsey Street Irregulars in their March on Washington April 19th (listen to the video for details, more info here - hat tip to Waldo for the link). In this age of the internet, support for this movement is exploding. Now, more than ever, we patriotic Americans need to send a clear, unmistakable message to those who abuse the powers delegated to government by the Sovereign People of the United States- No More! Since our voices are not heard, maybe we can make our presence felt, and raise awareness amongst those who still slumber, in government and elsewhere.
