I share and admire Mike Vanderboegh's gritty patriotism. We are by no means alone. As Mike so eloquently put it, "if we break the windows of hundreds, thousands, of Democrat party headquarters across this country, we might just wake up enough of them to make defending ourselves at the muzzle of a rifle unnecessary." Will it? We have seen the predictable condemnation from those whose windows were broken, but also from those whose windows were not. Derive from that what you will. I see it as patriotic Americans once again being condemned by a united oligarchy that does not by any means or stretch of the imagination represent our interests or views in government.
Truly, as a confederation of States (and as individuals within each State) we are no longer subject to the rule of law, much more the tyranny of the majority. I agree with Mike that this condition cannot and will not be allowed to continue. As with our 18th century forbears, we have suffered a long chain of abuses and usurpations, our grievances have been answered (if at all) with contempt, derision, and yet more abuses. We have been patient and tolerant in our endurance of the most egregious, outrageous legislation and swarming bureaucracy at federal, state and intrastate levels to the point where patience becomes neglect. We have been ridiculed and marginalized as a minority of impotent fanatics still 'clinging to our guns and bibles'. So be it.
It is our God-given right and, I expect, our sacred duty to throw off this tyranny of the majority and replace it with a government more apt to secure our rights to life, liberty and property; for our futures and our posterity. To these ends, I pledge to commit every effort, in thought, treasure and deed, to my dying breath, if necessary. If this should prove an action of biblical proportions then pray God be on our side.
As Mike infers, it is incumbent on God-fearing men of good character to exhaust every remedy before resorting to 'the muzzle of a rifle'. Such an action is enormously destructive and, most likely, final on the part of the recipients. Throughout history, uncoordinated acts of vandalism have served to draw attention to a cause or injustice and in some instances have brought about a redress of grievance. The fact that a few broken windows have garnered more attention than millions of voices raised against a long train of outrageous legislation is indeed instructive. Perhaps a more practical approach is warranted to awaken the attentions of the oligarchy in government and a sympathetic public alike?
Would it not behoove us to consider other practical, but less 'final' remedies? If so, what remedies are left to us as a confederation of sovereign individuals? If these attacks on private property should continue, certainly the glaziers will be delighted, but ultimately, it is our stolen (Taxed? Don't make me laugh) money that will be used to pay for it. Are we devolved so far as to domestically enact a portion of our federal foreign policy whereby our military destroys a bridge in Iraq then we pay to rebuild it? Is this the level of our intelligence and mentality? I think not!
Unlike those who pretend to represent us at election time, we are many. Unlike those who vote for those who pretend to represent us, we outnumber them and our numbers are growing exponentially as more patriotic Americans are exposed to the fundamental evil that is being foisted on us. Each day, the establishment-owned 'mainstream media' loses viewers and readers in favor of our independent and intellectually free modern day Gutenberg press: Internet news sites, emails and streaming video tell the story as the establishment does not dare. Each day, the tyranny of the majority is weakened by a few hundred or a few thousand, adding to the millions who already raise their voices in unison: "NO!"
"When force is the standard, the murderer wins over the pickpocket. And then that society vanishes, in a spread of ruins and slaughter." - Atlas Shrugged
Force is not our patriotic standard, nor is it our first resort. The patriots of the revolution also endured a long train of abuses and usurpations. They too petitioned their government for a redress of many and various grievances, only to be rebuffed and ridiculed time and again. The price of colonial war was high: Of the signatories of the 1776 Declaration of Independence, many lost their lives (5 were captured and tortured to death by the British), and many more lost homes and family members in the ensuing melee. As Americans (patriotic or not), we are morally obligated to honor their sacrifice in defense of our constitutional way of life. The middle ground, like our middle class, is rapidly disappearing.
Please support Mike Vanderboegh and his Sipsey Street Irregulars in their March on Washington April 19th (listen to the video for details). Now, more than ever, we patriotic Americans need to send a clear, unmistakable message to those who abuse the powers delegated to government by the Sovereign People of the United States. Since our voices are not heard, maybe we can make our presence felt, and raise awareness amongst those who still slumber, in government and elsewhere.

Why not pretend the whole health-insurance part of it doesn't exist and see it as a 2.5% increase in the tax rate?
Because that's all it is, really. Except for re-regulating an already oligarchic institution to begin with (health insurance).
Where was all this anti-tax ranting when those taxes were being used to start a war we really didn't need to have, and utterly screwing up another?
Also, an armed march on Washington is going to reinforce the idea that you're lunatics, and the actual people charged with defending Washington from armed insurrection are going to sit half-bemused, half-worried in their Interceptor armor and their M-16s at sling arms. Hopefully, some idiot's going to start something, and there's going to be an absolute butchery and my friends and I can laugh about it when it gets posted to Liveleak. ("Hey, look! 1:15! Guy's head comes RIGHT OFF! Hahahaha!")
Interesting that Slicer wants to laugh at people being butchered. From that, I am going to guess he supports the current administration's unconstitutional tyranny.

The use of violence, even if only breaking windows, is playing right into the government's hands as they will then have the justification to respond with force and portray all of us who are deperate to regain our constitutional republic as violent criminals rather than the patriotic Americans we are. No violence or vandalism is justified or necessary in this struggle. Peaceful means only will accomplish our goals.
The Tea Party movement is already being demonized in the media, as were Posses and militias in previous decades. Please people, use your heads and don't be persuaded to engage in any violence or vandalism to achieve our goals.
If you become violent, you play into Obama's and the Democrat's hands. You make it a cinch for them to marginalize and demonize those who oppose them. Better to do what they don't want: engage them in meaningful discussion of the merits (or rather demerits) of how they are choosing to govern the country. They can't withstand intellectual scrutiny, because what they are doing is indefensible to any thinking individual. (And we have so few of those, don't we?)
"The first [Scriptural viewpoint] was that most Christian denominations during the Founding Era held that while they were forbidden to overthrow the institution of government and live in anarchy, they were not required blindly to submit to every law and policy. Those in the Founding Era understood that the general institution of government was unequivocally ordained by God and was not to be overthrown, but that did not mean that God approved every specific government; God had ordained government in lieu of anarchy – He opposed anarchy, rebellion, lawlessness, and wickedness and wanted civil government in society. Therefore, a crucial determination in the colonists’ Biblical exegesis was whether opposition to authority was simply to resist the general institution of government (an institution ordained by God Himself), or whether it was instead to resist tyrannical leaders who had themselves rebelled against God. (The Scriptural model for this position was repeatedly validated when God Himself raised up leaders such as Gideon, Ehud, Jepthah, Samson, and Deborah to throw off tyrannical governments – leaders subsequently praised in Hebrews 11:32 for those acts of faith.) That the Founders held the view that the institution of government is not to be opposed by that tyranny is, is a position clearly evident in their writings."
The article goes on to point out that the colonists were opposed to an offensive war, but fully embraced a war of self-defense:
"The second Scriptural viewpoint overwhelmingly embraced by most Americans during the Revolutionary Era was that God would not honor an offensive war, but that He did permit civil self-defense (e.g., Nehemiah 4:13-14 & 20-21, Zechariah 9:8, 2 Samuel 10:12, etc.). The fact that the American Revolution was an act of self-defense and was not an offensive war undertaken by the Americans remained a point of frequent spiritual appeal for the Founding Fathers. After all, Great Britain had attacked America, not vice versa; the Americans had never fired the first shot – not in the Boston Massacre of 1770, the bombing of Boston and burning of Charlestown in 1774, or in the attacks on Williamsburg, Concord, or Lexington in 1775."
Our challenge is to find a way to achieve constitutional compliance without majority public support. Vanderboegh writes of doing it with a determined minority (3%), but that only works if the majority stands aside, and they aren\'t. The Establishment is afraid of that, which is why tnhey are so determined to stigmatize the concept of \"militia\", as they are doing with this publicity against the Huraree group.
