This bill just pushes the country one step closer to national bankruptcy. I can not think of a worse thing to do at this point in US history. It almost seems like destiny that these ridiculous decisions are being made during this Crisis period, further exacerbating an already terrible situation. by Jim Quinn

Today is a fateful day for America. The passage of Obamacare will mark the middle of the end of our country. The beginning of the end was the bailout of Wall Street by the taxpayers. Obama and the Democrats have gone into full Joseph Goebbels mode.
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
Your "honest, wise, and all knowing" leaders have been saying that the Congressional Budget Office report says this 2,700 page monstrosity will reduce the deficit by $136 billion in the next 10 years. Did you know that we add $4.3 billion per day to the National Debt? That means we add $136 billion to the National Debt EVERY MONTH. Did you know that the CBO projection from 2000 to 2010 was just "off" by $5.2 TRILLION!!!!!!! The deficits were $5.2 TRILLION worse than they projected. We are going to trust these morons? The corrupt snakes who slither the halls of Congress know exactly what to put into and keep out of a bill to get the necessary result from the CBO. The Democrats took things out of the bill that cost $300 billion and moved it to another bill. Brilliant!! The bill says they will eliminate $500 billion of fraud and waste from Medicare & Medicaid. These programs have been in existence since 1965. Why haven't our beloved government bureaucrats eliminated fraud and waste prior to this bill? Not necessary?
I have created hundreds of financial models in my career. Have you ever heard someone say, "What do you want the number to be?". I could create a model to give me any answer I want. I left IKEA because I refused to "fake" the numbers for the idiot CEO who couldn't balance her own checkbook. I can guarantee you that this bill will add unfunded liabilities of at least $20 trillion to our already unpayable debt.
No one likes this bill, but it is being passed into law anyway. Politicians do not care about the people of the United States. Each party cares about power. The Democrats know this will not help the Average American. They just want a political victory. The Republicans are actually happy this bill will pass. They care only about regaining power in November. This entitlement will never be repealed. No entitlement has ever been repealed in the history of our country.
This bill just pushes the country one step closer to national bankruptcy. I can not think of a worse thing to do at this point in US history. It almost seems like destiny that these ridiculous decisions are being made during this Crisis period, further exacerbating an already terrible situation.

I wouldn't give up yet. I think the battle now moves to the states. The Virginia legislature has already passed a bill saying that Virginians don't have to comply with the governments edict to buy insurance. I hope everyone will write to their state representatives and encourage them to pass a similar bill.
And Attorneys General from several states are planning to sue the federal government over Obamacare. [link edited for length]
It is quite likely that this will go to the Supreme Court. Given the current makeup of the court I'm guessing it would result in a 5-4 decision one way or the other, and I think they would be more likely to rule that Obamacare is unconstitutional.
