Pelosi Pushing Progressive Healthcare Bill At All Costs! Easy for her to say?

Nancy Pelosi (D), speaker of the House, today stated that she feels democrats in the house should vote to pass the massive Trillion dollar senate version of the healthcare bill even if it costs them their seats in congress in the upcoming elections this year. Quick note to all the other democratic representatives who are thinking Pelosi is putting herself out there on the line for health care: remember Pelosi represents the 8th district of California, in case your not up to snuff on your California districts, that would be San Francisco. Yes, San Francisco, where the only way she would lose her seat is if (as if this were possible) a more progressive liberal democrat were to come along and challenge her. This is quite possibly the single most intelligent move this speaker has made in more than a year. It does not please this author, but it should definitely be a hit with the progressives in the congress and white house.
A strategical move to call out her fellow democrats, specifically the moderate democrats, becomes a "win-win" situation for her and the expanding progressive movement in the United States government. Win number one, the speaker gets the benefit of being the leader of the house when healthcare gets passed, thus increasing her standing within the movement for the future. We number two, inevitably some of those moderate democrats will in fact lose their seats over their blatant disregard for the wishes of their constituents who have clearly stated their lack of desire for this bill, and those moderates can then be replaced with more progressive representatives all while Pelosi risks nothing more than the ire of the talk-show hosts and conservative news reports.
It is a masterful move by a long-term congresswoman who knows she has little concern for her own seat in the upcoming election. Disappointed that devious now equals masterful, but nonetheless. This is a classic representation of progressivism, where they are smarter than the people they represent, and disregard the desire of the majority to satisfy the few.

 Great article liberty, the problem to is that progressives like the Speaker do not care if they lose their majority in the HOUSE or the Senate. This is the pot of gold they have tried to get through for 100 years. I also beleive it is now more dangerous than ever because if they try reconciliation then they will try to get the most ratical bill through. The shame is to that we will probably not get the Speaker for the rest of her life.
