The Deseret Expeditionary Force punched through the last Aztlan defenders in Fallbrook to take Camp Pendleton's Eastern perimeter Thursday. The heavily defended and Mexican Army supported position remains the final obstruction in the way of L.D.S. troops effectively securing the center of the pincer attack which has already taken Oceanside and San Clemente, cutting Interstate 5 between Los Angeles and San Diego. The L.D.S. Air Force is bombarding Camp Pendleton from their new base at Twenty-Nine Palms, while their ground forces focus on pacifying local resistance around the base, now that they have reached the Pacific. Prophet Rammell stated in a pre-recorded statement to the BBC that "The Lord will starve the reconquistadores where they sit, and return all of the promised land unto his children."

President Covel announced at a St. Louis press conference this morning that just two days ago C-17s from the 3rd Wing at Anchorage's Elmendorf Air Force base dropped Fort Richardson's 4th Brigade Combat Team into a killing field to stop Chinese troops in Tok, at the juncture of the Alaska Highway and Glenn Highway, catching them between those 250 of the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry's finest and about 1000 members of the 1st Stryker Brigade, 25th Infantry Division moving south from Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks. Total American casualties are estimated at around eighty. Four F-15s and two F-22s from Elmendorf were shot down by Chinese ground fire, and another crashed due to mechanical failure, but over a third of the Chinese Alaskan Division's 11,000 strong invaders died along the way during their retreat south towards Haines Junction. Chinese forces are still in control of Juneau and the panhandle, as well as Prudhoe Bay and Nome. The tide seems to have turned in Alaska six weeks ago when a U.S. nuclear submarine missing in action since Civil War Two began, the SSBN U.S.S. Kentucky, unexpectedly surfaced outside the Port of Valdez and torpedoed the Chinese Guangzhou class destroyer on station there to guard the holding tanks at the oil terminal. As a result, the destroyer's two hundred member crew, stationed in town for the winter, were summarily executed by the local citizens, and Alaska automatically became a nuclear power. Several of the destroyer's officers are being held and will be tried for war crimes committed against the people of Valdez during the occupation. The President's statements, made following his meeting with top Nationalist Party of America lawmakers to sign into law a bill recognizing polygamous marriages as legal throughout New America, were met with cheers from the audience, and with calls from the opposition Constitutional Party to send Lord Strathcona's Horse armored regiment based in Edmonton to move north toward the Alaskan Front, hoping by mid-summer to link up with the New American forces there and reopen the Alaskan Highway, and eventually the oil pipeline. President Covel responded by saying that doing so would be a Herculean undertaking just because of the distances involved, but New Americans have learned to do the impossible every day, and would not leave Alaskans to fight alone.

French television reports that refugees from inland areas of New Africa crowded the docks in Mobile over the weekend, attempting to force their way onto a Senegalese freighter which had docked there a week earlier and advertised their intention to provide any person with medical training or military experience passage and repatriation in exchange for terms of indenture. After boarding as many of those who could provide proof of their experience or education as possible, the ship disembarked, leaving the remaining mob to burn the shipyards before turning on one another.

The Kurdistan parliament has officially passed a measure establishing diplomatic relations with Greater Palestine, and recognizing Jerusalem's sovereignty over the original 1947 territory, with the exception of the radioactive zones of Tel Aviv and Haifa, media sources in Elazig reported Sunday. Those zones are still under military quarantine by the U.N. until the Chinese declare them habitable once again.

Pakistan has been invited by the United Nations to establish a permanent peacekeeping force presence in the Kashmir region of northern India following the collapse of Sino-Indian peace talks. The British Royal Marines' Third Commando Brigade, under siege in Agra along with four squadrons of the R.A.F., have recruited a second brigade of 3,000 Gurkhas whose baptism by fire will be in attempting to reach the British 205 and 256 Field Hospitals and Medical Regiments caught behind the lines in Jaipur. The 7th Armoured Brigade and 16th Air Assault Brigade were redeployed to the Indian front following the fall of Surgut in the largest tank battle since the second world war ended three weeks ago, and are now entering the fight after offloading from the British Royal Navy's fleet in Bombay.

Once again, Germans are seeing goods from New America on store shelves, as sacks of flour and cans of corn appear alongside domestic brands. The most popular, and perhaps controversial import to start a craze in central Europe currently, however, is beer. Busch and Budweiser beer, made in New America's capitol, and riling traditional German breweries with their popularity among thirsty consumers eager to be reminded of anything American. The price of textiles and clothing in Europe has leveled out due to increased Egyptian cotton output to offset the loss of formerly productive regions in New Africa.

This just in, civilian and military sources have confirmed that within the last hour three nuclear missiles fired from onboard the U.S.S. Kentucky docked in Free Alaska have delivered their payloads to detonate in the upper atmosphere approximately twenty miles directly above the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin, China. President Covel is about to go on national radio to explain that the launches were an E.M.P. attack designed to disrupt Chinese communications and transportation without directly costing any human lives. All Chinese military operations in North America seem to be grinding to a halt after losing contact with their capitol. And now, we take you live to St. Louis where the President is about to make a statement...
