I appreciate both the harmonious chord my Chemtrails article has struck with some as well as the irritating nerve it has hit with others--and all of the lively commentary it has ignited--however "bizarre", it is still a political issue for it potentially involves how our elected officials are allowing our tax dollars to be spent...by Michael

I also appreciate the Nolan Chart as being the mainstream political venue that it is. So in respect for and in consideration of its reputation, I have relegated my views on/in this matter intentionally to the "Bizarre," for so they would seem...
I can also appreciate that not everyone has been eyewitness to a Chemtrail anomaly or perhaps, rather, not having taken notice of it when they could have been--in this fast-paced 24/7 world who has the time to even look up (which is where we all ought to be continually looking about now--along with a coinciding prayer)...
But after over a decade of this phenomena frequently taking place and still ongoing--for those of us who have had the opportunity to take notice of and to be eyewitness to it, we cannot deny what we have seen and the curious suspicion that it arouses--RainBojangle's "empirical observation" factor; once one has observed it one cannot deny it...
What is really even more phenomenal than Chemtrails itself is the fact that no official explanation has been offered or made available even when sought after for over a decade now!
For this reason, I feel that Chemtrails is sort of the "poster child" among all such issues, phenomena and anomalies that if/when left unexplained they consequently fall into the realm of "conspiracy theory" among the majority of the population--almost seems like an intentional, tactical strategy by a Government which feels itself no longer accountable to its constituency which is, for the most part, slumbering...
Along these lines, I have never actually seen/laid eyes upon a purported FEMA detention center though they have been much reported and I tend to believe that they exist--a conclusion being drawn, personally, by me according to the prevailing political/social paradigm that is to be seen currently. Likewise, I have never actually seen/laid eyes upon the purported HAARP facility in Alaska but I tend to believe that it exists for the same reason. But Chemtrails I have actually seen/laid eyes upon in the sky above me (on too frequent of an occasion) for a decade now and so have many, many others. So that there exists a lot of pent up angst over this anomaly--something for which my Chemtrail article has evidently made available a vent...
And that is why it is the "poster child" for such things--for it has been so flagrantly flaunted before our very eyes for so long now without explanation.
It is so indicative of the Elitist posture that Government has assumed. It's all OK; Big Brother knows best; Big Brother is hard at work and is being diligent at working for your best interests and wellbeing; don't ask "why"--just comply. We have our "experts" and our scientists working on it--believe what they say--you're not educated/intelligent enough to comprehend it--but then, education is an acquired status; intelligence is an inherited quality; common sense often eludes both of these...
Way too many people have given in to the falsehood (or used it to take the lazy, easy, non-cognitive way out) that such things as religion, politics, government and especially economics are understood only by the "experts." This has indeed been the demise of true Democracy--government by the People--for "the People" have been intentionally misled into believing that their own reasoning capacities and common sense are not adequate to determine the course of such things in this ever-more-complex world in which we live. (It doesn't have to be this complex--we've allowed it to be made so). This is truly a sad state of affairs for in such a climate society is led like a dumb beast to the benefit of the unscrupulous.
Scientists, experts and professionals are above reproof and questioning (unless you can hack their climate change emails). Beyond this, the Elite who hire them to prove their beliefs and opinions for them are especially beyond reproof. Elitism has many historical precedents--none of them with a desirable outcome. But today the new Elitism has been enhanced in its threat by the concept of the need for global population reduction given the limited resources and environmental sustainability of our planet. The most recent past example of the Elite subscribing openly to a doctrine of overpopulation was seen during the Industrial Revolution and commented upon in the writings of Charles Dickens--the rape of the resources of the New World postponed the showdown back then--now, well into the current Technological Revolution, and no New World resources to rely upon, we are witnessing a repeat of this history--and the showdown is inevitable...
There are a great many very powerful/ultimately wealthy Elitists today who believe that the population of our Earth should be drastically reduced. If they are indeed so sincere and genuine in this belief I would say to them, "OK. You volunteer to go first!" If I myself sincerely and genuinely held such a belief this is what I would do (but such is not the case)...
An active/passive population reduction agenda being carried out by a global Elite is the paradigm that the common man need be concerned with for the near future...
This then is the common denominator that can be applied to a great many officially unexplained phenomena and anomalies that are obviously being conducted by humans including Chemtrails--as Organelle's comment touched upon...
The common man resists Genetically Modified Organisms in his food supply because they are not natural--but the (puppet) Governments of the Elitists patently promote them--why? Because the consumption of GMO's reduces reproductive capacity in humans and animals (see the studies of Jeffrey Smith)...
"Nutricide" is a relatively new concept. It is population reduction via mandated malnutrition. And the recent legislation introduced by US Senator John McCain to regulate the dietary supplement (vitamins and herbal supplements) industry and the recent actions by the Canadian government to remove dietary supplements from the shelves of pharmacies would indicate that the powers that be do not want to allow us to have any freedom of choice when it comes to nutrition and that it will all be regulated according to the global Codex Alimentarious (Latin for "Food Code")-- "Codex Alimentarious;" the sound of it in itself seems malignant!
That's because it is! For the citizens of the USA, who are used to the Common Law liberties afforded us by the Constitution, it will represent a transition from our accustomed freedoms according to Common Law (whatever is not forbidden is allowed) to a Code/Civil Law (whatever is not allowed--within a codified list--is forbidden) a subtle yet very distinct legal technicality that I guarantee you really won't like much--but it will be (en)forced upon us because it is per the (bought and paid for) "experts" and scientists of the Elite...
Mandated malnutrition as a means for intentional population reduction is a very desirable solution as opposed to intentionally introduced infectious disease, for an infectious disease is nondiscriminatory in who it infects and even with a vaccine or antibody available to a select few it can still mutate and/or develop a resistance--God forbid that the Elite expire from their own designs! (But in the End, He will bring their fears upon them)...
Recent recommendations from the "experts" and the scientists have drastically reduced the recommended intake of vitamin C--some have taken note of how this will consequently reduce reproductive capacity (Bill Sardi for one)...
Of course, when fingered out, the Elite have employed professional debunkers to ridicule and discredit any who would stand up and be outspoken concerning such things--and beyond this is the only too real and terrifying option on their part of elimination/asassination of those who refuse to be silenced--if genuinely sincere but yet genuinely deceived these have been sold a bill of goods (bad enough)--but if engaging in this according to thoroughly informed self-interest they've bought into the thing (even worse)...
Yeh, I guess I'm just another Conspiracy Theory nutcase/kook--but how outrageous can it get when the Pentagon is spending multiple millions of our tax dollars for the research needed in order to develop an "immortal synthetic organism" with a "kill-switch" in case it goes awry!?!...
...we should have all pressed for that Article V Convention last year while we had the chance; a year of subsequent erosion may have made it a mute point...
US Senator Harry Reid introduces language to the Democrats' Health Care Bill that says once passed into law it cannot be amended, altered or repealed by any future sessions of Congress--is that Constitutional??? No, it's arrogant and Elitist...
The only source of this insidious impetuousness must then be pure Humanism, i.e. man as god(s); man as the ultimate intelligence, wisdom and force--and I'm sorry, but they'll not sell me on that bill of goods either!"

whether one understands and/or thinks your position is credible, i hope you realize that the moment for the Article V Convention is just now begining. professor lawrence lessig broached the subject on bill moyers recently. and has a site set up for it. http://www.callaconvention.org
the thing is michael, whether you are all right or part right in your conclusions, and you comprehend how the Article V Convention is a thorn for people like harry reid and all the rest, then why don't you go about talking it up on the internet?
