Daniel Pipes' Latest Appeal for Mass Murderby Dan Alba

Speaking on the United States' transition from a constitutional republic to an authoritarian democracy, Congressman Ron Paul once observed:
If the majority has not yet sanctioned some desired egregious action demanded by special interests, the propaganda machine goes into operation, and the pollsters relay the results back to the politicians who are seeking legitimacy in their endeavors. The rule of law and the Constitution have become irrelevant, and we live by constant polls. ["Transition to Democracy," paragraph 3.]
Nowhere is that truth more sadly evident than in the drive for aggressive military war.
Enter Daniel Pipes, whose prolific record of lobbying for the mass murder of Israel's chosen enemies has been outdone only by his fraudulent and criminally intended justifications.
[Obama] needs a dramatic gesture to change the public perception of him as a light-weight, bumbling ideologue, preferably in an arena where the stakes are high, where he can take charge, and where he can trump expectations.
Such an opportunity does exist: Obama can give orders for the U.S. military to destroy Iran’s nuclear-weapon capacity.*
The only "capacity" that exists in this context is the capacity for Israeli and U.S. agents to provide fantastical evidence of an Iranian weapons program, and coerce other UN nations to go along with the shakedown — in conjunction with "mainstream" news media's capacity to frame a false narrative in support thereof.
And then there's the "capacity" for a Goebbelian sociopath to justify putting the lives of millions of human lives in jeopardy and stoking a world war:
First, U.S. intelligence agencies have reversed their preposterous 2007 National Intelligence Estimate, the one that claimed with "high confidence" that Tehran had "halted its nuclear weapons program."
Actually, if you read the Reuters report he linked to, you'll wonder whether Pipes is lying or didn't even read the report, which says:
[U.S. officials] expected nuanced rather than wholesale changes to the assessment in the new NIE . . . "Basically, we're talking about research (resuming) -- not about the Iranians barreling full steam ahead on a bomb program," a U.S. official said on condition of anonymity.*
But lest you'd call him on the fraud, Pipes renders all dissent — including, apparently, that of Reuters editors and U.S. officials — void:
No one other than the Iranian rulers and their agents denies that the regime is rushing headlong to build a large nuclear arsenal.*
And as though Pipes' Machiavellian dismissal doesn't go far enough, he trots out a slew of public opinion polls (you know, where the pollsters ask questions to the same folks who were propagandized by the pollsters' partners in the MSM), which show that a majority in each poll approves of aggressive war to end Iran's non-existent nuclear weapons program. These are the same pollsters and methods used during the 2008 presidential race, to marginalize Ron Paul's mostly-online support — via disingenuously worded questions asked to people who don't even have regular access to the Internet.
Tellingly, Pipes fails to mention that the latest of those polls, by Pew Research, found that at least half the people polled were ignorant of the situation anyway:
Overall, 41% say they have heard a lot about the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program, while 41% have heard a little and 18% have heard nothing at all.
Furthermore, the wording of the poll questions always assume — correctly so, sad to say, due to years of DOE, MSM, and Pipes-esque propaganda — that the people being polled are convinced that Iran (1) is a threat to the United States, and (2) is pursuing nuclear weapons, in the first place. The pollsters may as well have polled themselves.
But this is how Daniel Pipes and his fellow imperial bricklayers justify the mass-murder of non-aggressive individuals who happened to be unlucky enough to live under the boot of the U.S. and Israeli regimes' chosen enemies: contrive consent, lie incessantly, project one's own "qualities" onto fantastical dragons to be slain, and render treasonous all dissent.
All of which Hitler and Stalin, bitter enemies, unanimously agreed on.
