More about Sovereignism

A sovereign is the person or entity that decides.  We all are born with an instinct to control, ranging in intensity from overwhelmingly strong to very weak. Arguments using the concepts of freedom, liberty, constraint and responsibility have applied those terms when attempting to define the proper relationships between individuals and groups. Knowing who is sovereign and following the rules of sovereignism will better lead, with better precision, to peace and good will between men.

Freedom:
A concept with the power(includes ability) to determine action(acting
by will) without constraint

Liberty:
There is a distinction between two opposite concepts of liberty: positive(ability to act on will) liberty and negative(absence of constraint to act on will) liberty. It is important to understand the two concepts when discussing liberty since they represent pieces of the greater puzzle known as freedom.

Note that the concepts of freedom and liberty both ignore the concepts of responsibility, a set of ethical principles along with a set of moral rules that derive from those ethics.

Sovereignism solves the dilemmas posed by the concepts of freedom and liberty when without responsibility and ethics. That is to say we all want to have freedom/liberty to do as we will. But at the same time we do not want others to have freedom/liberty to do what they want which impacts ourselves or groups that we love or respect. Our opposition to other's freedom and liberty arrives when we view what their will requires is in opposition to what our will desires. In addition when we think of our freedom and liberty we most often ignore responsibility for the actions taken under the freedom/liberty banner.

As always when a sovereign has subjects the subjects need to have rights to protect against arbitrary and unjust rules that ignore the responsibilities that accompany sovereignty. Consider the proper sovereignty of parents over their children.

All children should have a sovereign. The rights of a child which are the responsibilities of the sovereign parents are to be; fed, clothed, housed, protected, conditioned to proper behavior, prepared for adult sovereignhood  and educated for language, reading and logic.

Knowing the rules of Sovereignism and applying them is not sufficient to assure peaceful settlements of disputes. The essential step of reaching agreement as to who is sovereign over what, must first be achieved.

Well, here's who is sovereign over what.  I am sovereign over me, and me alone.  I am the only sovereign over me.

I do not consent to be governed.  I do not consent to govern anyone else.

If that's not okay with you, let's not discuss it further.  I'll use deadly force to defend my sovereignty over myself, when, as, and how I see fit.  If you don't want to die, don't seek to enslave me.

John

Your position is fine with me.

Correct me if I am wrong about what you seem to imply.

1. You statement about sovereignty applys to others as well.

2. You do not claim sovereignty over your children until they become adults.

3. You do not claim sovereignty over anything you view as your property.

4. You feel no obligation to help defend the sovereignty of anyone else.

5. You reject anyone trying to help you defend your sovereignty.

6. You reject any form of government.

Please correct and forgive me if any of my implications are wrong.
