Joe Budd says he's reluctant to run - They made him do it!
A reluctant candidate who only wants his country back, Joe Budd met the goal of 1,163 signatures from voters who live in Wexler's congressional District 19 while retired police officer Curt Price and contractor Ed Lynch did not. Both were forced to pay the $9,912 filing fee. by Larry Warrick

"I, Joe Budd, do solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic"
"Joe grew up just across the Delaware River in Easton, PA. Easton is a city with a rich historical heritage. In fact, on July 8, 1776, it was the site for one of only three public readings of the Declaration of Independence."
According to his bio, Mr. Budd has had his share of ups and downs. After a good start with a pizza franchise, he sold up and moved his family back home where things weren't quite so rosy. Moving to Florida in 1993 and throwing in with his father was a winner and by 1998 he was operating independently once again.
"He has never had political aspirations, but like you, he is tired of watching our elected representatives enrich themselves while they bankrupt our great nation. Join him in his fight to take back America!"
As with at least one other of his fellow candidates, he's tired of the nonsense going on in Washington and he wants his country back. Yet another hat-tip to the TEA party movement from the Republican side, perhaps? Well, he does quote Ben Franklin: "One of Joe's favorite quotes is a very simple one by Ben Franklin it says, "Things that hurt, instruct." He learned a great deal about life through his success and even more through his failure."
Number 1 on his list of principles over politics, he promises "Defend, protect and be faithful to the United States Constitution". The list continues with waste reduction, speaking truth to power, read the bills (if there's time), and work for the people instead of big business. As you move down the list, a feeling of uneasiness creeps in. Hold the front page! There are contradictions in this list
He wants to look for clean and affordable energy policies. That's not in the constitution he keeps swearing to. A trip to his Energy Independence page confirms the worst; after referring to JFK and the space program, we see: "I'll tell you right now, I'm not a follower. I will be out front leading the fight for sensible solutions to secure our energy independence!"
There's many, many more contradictions within his pages, if you can take the pain, follow the link. Suffice to say Big government Statist who will owe the military - industrial complex once in office and that's not a good thing. Either he is playing to the masses with his promises of constitutional government or he's playing to the Lords and Masters with his promises of government intervention in everything. The duplicity is overwhelming.
I looked for the two independents in this race, Jim McCormick (Independent) - Businessman (website unfinished) and Josue Larose (Write-In)- Realtor, Businessman & Frequent Candidate (no website). Gee, that's frustrating.

I am just glad Joe Budd is running - I know him personally and he is honest as well as smart, and I believe he will show integrity when he wins the 19th District race - isnt this the type of man we need in politics to represent our future?
Nope, this is not the type of man we need as our representative in Congress. His duplicity is overwhelming and he doesn't even make any effort to hide it. What we need is someone who makes consistent, honest, non-conflicted statements about his motives and beliefs and has the rectal fortitude to follow it through. Joe Budd is just another politician who has at least one elector fooled.
