If Florida Governor Crist is looking to weed out government corruption, I suggest he start by looking in the mirror. by Raven West

Florida governor Charlie Crist is working his way up the political ladder on the backs of Florida's guardianship victim's corpses.
In March of 2004, my father, a New York State resident, went to visit a distant cousin in Florida. He was suffering from very mild dementia, which the cousin began taking advantage. I reported her to the Florida hot line, and in July of 2004, they sized up the situation and recommended a TEMPORARY emergency guardian to stop my cousin's influence and return my father home to my mother.
In September of 2004, I went to Florida to pick up my father. At the court hearing, where he was NOT in attendance, the judge awarded PERMANENT guardianship , and all my parent's assets, to the guardian. In violation of Florida guardianship law. My father was NEVER a resident of Florida.
Over the next several months, I pleaded with the Florida State Attorney General, Charlie Crist's office to investigate and help with the situation. I was told, repeatedly, that there was "nothing" he could do, basically ignoring what was going on. Meanwhile, my father was being drugged with anti-psychotic medication, isolated from his wife, daughter and granddaughters, and the guardian was free to totally take control of my father's life. And Crist was totally aware of this. For MONTHS!
In June of 2005 I was able to get my father out from under Florida's jurisdiction. At the hearing that my father actually attended via telephone , the judge ruled him fully competent, but not before the guardian had drained nearly every dime from my parent's accounts. One attorney received over $30,000.00 in a bogus divorce action. The guardian's attorney, Mark Shalloway, received over $200,000.00 OF MY FATHER'S MONEY. Their plan was to drain all of my parent's assets, put him on Medical, and bury him, penniless in Florida. Is it any wonder that Crist's forth largest contributors for his governor race were from attorneys and lobbyists?
In my book, "Blood Tastes Lousy With Scotch", (Available on Amazon.com), I relate the details of this nightmare. Half the book is the story, the other half contains scanned court documents, correspondence and accounting details of this legalized theft and eventual murder of my father and subsequent stress which caused the death of my mother.
Now that Crist has aspirations for U.S. Senate, he has decided to go after corruption, making him sound like some kind of hero. He's not. As State Attorney General, he turned his back on what Florida guardians are doing to families in every jurisdiction, and as Governor, he still is turning a deaf ear to the cries of victims who are caught in Florida's horrific guardianship web.
