Ron Paul Plugs America: From Freedom to Fascism

Ron Paul uses Meet the Press time to plug the late great Aaron Russo's America From Freedom to Fascism.

Given the short time that Ron Paul could expect to be able to get a word in edgewise, with his interrogator Tim Russert badgering him, and cutting off his words in mid sentence. Tim timed his staccato of questions to try and keep Ron Paul from his focus. Ron Paul still managed to get a lot of information out that is key for the broader public to understand exactly where they stand in this moment in history and how he intends to help us overcome some inevitable consequences from the bad policies that created our growing loss of liberty and mounting debt.

Because he was able to direct his message to not only the tiny 11% of the TV ratings share that still belongs to NBC. He was able with the internet to get out to the larger world audience this plug for a major deprogramming film in which he is featured. The larger world depends on the video streaming of youtube and google video to view their information from America.

Aaron Russo Presents: America: From Freedom to Fascism.

I would say that it is a fair estimate that a least 10 million people watched that show live and that many more around the world will look up that film and view it. Those people will here Ron Paul talk on the subject of illegal government policy that deny us our freedom and liberty while harming our nation and dragging us deep into debt servitude. Those people will tell 2 friends and so on and pretty soon the Ron Paul Revolution will get kicked up a notch and go viral globally.

I predict that there will be a major world freedom impact as a result of the Ron Paul Revolution because we have one of the most principled and unflappable leaders in the world at the helm. It is far bigger than just one man of course and the good Dr. wouldn't have it any other way.

I second the recommendation for America: Freedom to Fascism by Aaron Russo. It's an amazing documentary and an engaging learning experience. Russo asks the simple question, "Where is the law?" regarding the legality of the income tax. With many interviews from former and current (maybe not after doing the interview) IRS agents and extensive historical explanations about how the "code" (not law) came to be. Every American should watch this film.

Thanks for the link ray, that is a well constructed straw poll so the totals should be better respected than some of the ones in the past.

Dear Michael McDonnough,

America: From Freedom to Fascism is the movie by which I first heard about Dr Paul. I stumbled upon the documentary by accident and I found it hard to believe what was stated. So I did a background check on certain statements and certain persons. Then I could verify the claims made and also I found out about Ron Paul and his go for President. Since then I have been actively supporting the movement and have introduced Ron Paul to the people I know from the USA. I have at least 1 confirmed "converted" friend now and got one who has never voted in his life showing interest in politics for the first time ever. So I support your reasoning that this Ron Paul movement can make global changes. I have been talking here in my country of The Netherlands also with my friends and relatives about our taxsystem here and that we work 7 months per year to pay all taxes (thats 6 months) and obligatory ensurances (thats 1 month). And that we can only keep 5 months of our earnings to ourselves. People here, including myself, start to view the world and politics in a different way now. And this is just about the basic economics, but we all are starting to talk about a lot of other issues aswell now. So Ron Paul is already effecting life overseas. And talking about economics and politics, could you please check out Ron Pauls Pay Day (ronpaulspayday.com) and if you like it do an article on it or mention it in an article? I think it will do the official campaign a lot of good. Also if you like the idea, maybe you can spread the word to other columnists that you are in contact with and ask them to mention it aswell. Thanks in advance! And together we can change this world :D

I am trying to raise awareness about Dr. Paul's financial/tax positions through tying it into a grassroots funraising effort - Ron Paul's Payday (http://www.ronpaulspayday.com). the original video that was put out on youtube -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymbz6XrkXzQ -- has over 35,000 views and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. If you would like to mention it in a column or do a story on it, it would be greatly appreciated - I need alot of help raising awareness for this. Plese feel free to contact me if you would like to pursue this. I would be more than happy to talk with you about it.

I saw this ronpaulpayday.com material in the youtube you mention and have seen it posted to some of the usenet and Ron Paul IRC groups and have thought it was a good idea. The video was well done and the argument is sound. This is certainly one that the Paul campaign would love to see since it would bring in a regular amount of money that is easier to budget since it is not all at once and unexpected.

It is worth an article I think.
