Topic: Barack Obama
He does lie!

Rep. Wilson's outburst may have been inappropriate to the venue, but he was not wrong.

I have to admit, I am furious today. According to the Washington Times, and other news venues, Obama has now said it would be a good idea to basically provide amnesty to illegal aliens to make the debate on them moot [1]. Joe Wilson, a man who was apparently fed up with this administration, interrupted the President regarding health care for illegals, I'm sure most people know the story. A lot of our leaders have expressed outrage at his outburst. But how many are willing to admit he was right? Here we now have Obama proving Joe to have been absolutely correct by demonstrating himself that he did lie. It is technically true that he doesn't intend to provide health care to illegal aliens, instead he wants to legalize them and then give them health care. So he didn't really lie, but Joe Wilson was right. Obama lied. Most of us know what a lie is. It is dishonesty in communication. What a normal, average person would believe from the part of Obama's speech on Health Care that Wilson called a lie, is that Obama has no intention of adding to the financial burden of the Health Care Bill by paying for the health care of an estimated 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. What it is now apparent is that he intends to do precisely that, he just wants to make them no longer illegal. That means he lied. His words were true, but they hid his real intention. That, for the simple minded people who still believe in The One, is what a lie is.

This is equivelant to telling someone that you will not steal their wallet, then taking it, removing all the cash and credit cards and returning the wallet and then telling them you kept your promise. Obama also said in his speech that although he inherited a $1 trillion deficit, this health care plan will not add to it. Of course not. It will add to the $3 trillion deficit his actions have so far added to that [2]. This man, who is our president, does not deserve uninterrupted speech. What should happen is that, like Dr. Evil, every time Obama opens his mouth we should scream, "You lie!", because that is what he is about to do. Obama says change is hard. It undoubtedly is. Change is also ambiguous. The Imperial Collective of America would be a change. When, in the Star Wars mythology, Senator Palpatine became Emporor Palpatine, that was a change. Officially declaring that The Constitution no longer applies is a change. From what I have seen so far, Obama's hope and change is of a similar vein. And just as in Revenge of the Sith, America's representatives are applauding. Just one of them had the spine to do what liberals just one year ago would have called a patriotic act. The office of the President is not above reproach. Indeed, the American public is his boss, and if one of us wants to tell our employee that he is a liar, that is our right. He doesn't get respect just because of his job. He is not a king.

The man has shown a continual disrespect for honesty. I feel safe to say he may not have used words that were blatantly false. Oh, no, I would be wrong. He said he met his wife in class at Harvard, when she had already graduated before he started attending. He actually met her a year after she graduated when she was assigned as a mentor to him while he worked as a summer associate at Sidley Austin [3]. Such a stupid lie. One could say he mis-spoke, but really, how do you mix up where you met your wife? It's not like he mixed up the classroom, he mixed up the entire venue. He was probably trying to identify with the college students he was speaking to at the time. Which demonstrates a tendency to white lies as part of a political sales pitch. The reason I say political is the man never stops campaigning, therefore it stands to reason that his actions are political. Nevertheless, it's a stupid reason to lie. But it shows fundemental flaws in his character.

I suppose I could sit around and ferret out a few more lies and half truths, but it is quite clear to me that the man is untrustworthy. Even Air America has noted that he is a "Charming Liar" in regards to his handling of pharmaceutical companies [4]. For example, he claims to be a Christian, yet he also has made a de facto admission that he didn't pay attention to his pastor of 20 years, so how valid is his faith? And, now his new regulatory czar turns out to have the opinion that The President, not the Judicial branch, has the right to interpret laws [5]. Nixon thought similarly. I remember that when George W. Bush's Attorney General made a similar argument, the Left, and the Libertarians, started fuming. Of course, what's the opinion of one Czar?

However, Obama also made Van Jones, a self described radical communist, a czar [6] [7] [8], which is oddly ironic. I feel I should explain the irony. The reason for that is the one Obama supporter I spoke to who didn't understand why we used to help the enemies of our friends, the Russians. The irony is that Russian Emperors were called "czars" and Russia was Communist for 70 years after killing the last Czar. Is funny, no? I apologize for the tangent, but it brings up a point I would like to make. This person I referenced didn't know about the Cold War that defined the childhood era of many Americans. He voted for Obama. I wish I could say he was representative of the intelligence of Obama's supporters, but there are otherwise smart people I know who lean towards the left. The problem is that many of the ideas of the left are made on emotional arguments. The Appeal to Emotion is a logical fallacy. So it comes as no surprise to me that Obama supporters do not grasp the underlying problems of inconsistency in anything, let alone honesty. But for me and those I consider as having reason and truth as their watchwords, one lie is human, two is shady, three and more is evidence of fraudulence.

Now that E-Verify is becoming a nationwide verification application to extract 20 million plus illegal immigrants from businesses. It is now growing in aggressive performance for placing true US workers in the job line and outing illegal labor. This operation should now extend to certainly more purposeful uses? That means not just federal contractors but everybody who draws a pay check?  Should a health care reform pass all obstacles in the House and Senate chambers, it could have an invaluable function of checking people who are not only applicants for jobs, but health care reform registry. Illegal immigrants are already getting free emergency hospital care and--WE--pay for it. In the future it should be considered to vet a person’s nationality status, when applying for a mortgage? You know, writing your own article would be, in my opinion, better than attaching a rider to mine. I'm just saying. Thanks for reading.
