The American embarrassment, CONGRESS! Just how bad can a legislative bill be? If it has to do with National Health Care it's bad before it starts!by Roland

We pick these people from our ranks, every 4 years, an many repeatedly, because once in the congressional click and they are certified to play ball with the big boys, money seems to flow from nowhere, right into the campaign coffers, and when the favor is returned, where they came from and who put them their, becomes irrelevant. Congratulations you are now a Washington insider, partying with the social elite, trips around the world, many (too many) butt kissers always surround you, praising your tactful dialog. Contributors, thanking them for the outstanding pork and earmark votes cast in the night hours, stuffed into a nondescript bill in an out of the way section, god what a wonderful legislator you have become, so brilliant, so articulate, so stinking sneaky.
This deceptive illusion goes on and on, with "playbook" precision as the way to keep their seat with the big guys. It all eventually surfaces and we are now seeing the ugly truth of what is happening to most of them. Hard faced, spoiled and inconsiderate snobs, who consider themselves far above us little people, and my way of thinking the absolute opposite of what it should be! Treatment of citizens in town hall meetings during their break was Despicable. The town hall meetings are not to see your ugly mug, it is to take input from your bosses and weigh them, you must have forgot, thinking it was another campaign speech.
More than one constitutional lawyer has read the entire 1,000 page health care bill and every one of them found the wording phrased to allow tax paid abortions, sufficient administrative power to eventually outflank private insurance providers toward nationally required health insurance. Not to forget the white house, general accounting office review of the funding impact substantially higher than congressional predictions. Not one congressperson would stand up and say they read the entire bill. What they get is a staff, evaluation of the bill, complete with required deception, highlighted contrived sound bites, including deceptive ways to talk around the unpopular subjects. It is no wonder the popularity poles rate these people at about 30%, it should be much lower than that. National health care was originally touted as the perfect congressional solution when presented, and as you may recall the very next vote was adjournment avoiding interviews and publicity. All heading home to tell of their respective districts what wonderful job they did via, town hall meetings. Well after the smoke settled, and with their wounds all patched, they reconvene, with a whole new set of excuses and covered miscalculations. It is so much easier now that the mob is gone, you know those puppets of conservatism, having the audacity to criticize us. Armed with the new re-write and legal clarification now, they become indignant and aggressive again denying any such thing in the bill as, funded abortions, a trillion dollar price tag, mandatory government health care, or illegal immigrant care, all that was Lie's, fed by the right wing conspiracy.
Just for a minute here lets look at a long term health care system. "Private health care provider, must break even or profit to survive". "Public health care, has a bottomless pit for funding". Which will survive in the long term? Did you say, public health care, Right! As long as there is a PUBLIC option, the answer remains the same. So who then is lying? The other distortion in facts is the 54 million uninsured, needing coverage. How did the number of uninsured drop to 30 million by the President himself in the address to Congress last week, while he assured everyone with "emphasis", Illegal Immigrants are not covered in my plan. He did it by dropping illegals from the uninsured, the same way congress did. How damn brilliant is that?
The fearless Speaker of the House, is perhaps the most unpopular of them all, with her outrageous behavior, and her extravagant misuse of public money, absolutely inexcusable. This all leaves the greatest argument favoring, "TERM LIMITS" and a sever tightening of, "CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE" with the hopes that someday sooner rather than later, the required respect will be returned to Congress.

Don't you love how our Employees talk down to us and tell us, their bosses, at townhalls that "you aren't worth peeing on" or that we aren't worth "Dignifying with a response". This Congress is apparently confused that the aristocracy died with Imperial England.
