Kentucky Fight

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kentucky - On September 23rd the stage is set for a political cage match in the Kentucky Republican U.S Senate Primary.

In this corner, grassroots supporters of Kentucky Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul are disgusted by the actions of opposing candidate Trey Grayson and the National Republican Senatorial Committee who plan to hold a large fundraiser for Grayson in Washington D.C. sponsored by 23 GOP Senators on September 23rd ... a full eight months before the Kentucky primary election.

Ryan Sheets, a Paul supporter from Louisville, KY stated:

"Grayson has repeatedly said that his campaign was going to be about Kentucky, for Kentucky, and in Kentucky. So why does he have such a need running to a Washington ballroom to raise piles of money from a bunch of D.C lobbyists eight months before the primary?"

He added:

"After the Kentucky primary, if the NRSC wants to give boatloads of money to the winner, I fully support that. But I feel like average Republicans should be the ones deciding who that person is, not a bunch of Washington hacks trying to stakehorse a race here."

As a counterpunch to this event, grassroots supporters of Paul have created another "Money Bomb" creatively styled as though it were a United Fighting Championship fight. KentuckyFight.com is the website which asks supporters of Rand Paul to pledge $100.00 for the event and then donate on September 23rd at the candidate's website RandPaul2010.com with the goal of a half million dollars for Paul in one day for "We The People vs. The Washington Elite."

On August 20th, Paul's grassroots supporters set a record for raising the most money online in a 24hr period for a Kentucky candidate when they piled up over $436,000.00 for Paul from over 5,000 individual donors.

KentuckyFight.com and the September 23rd event is sponsored completely by grassroots supporters unaffiliated with the official Rand Paul campaign.
