Steorn 300 - First Impressions At long last, I take a few minutes to trickle out some "first impressions" of what access to the SKDB (Steorn Knowledge Development Base) has been like so far for me.by creator

I have been hoping to "get around to" digging deeply into the Steorn Knowlege Development Base (SKDB) and updating you on my experience as one of the "Steorn 300." Well, reality has finally set in and I will, for the moment, content myself with merely giving you some "first impressions."
I apologize that impressions are (so far) all that I can offer to those who have been waiting patiently for this next installment in the series; however, as partial compensation I can tell you that, in truth, you haven't really missed too much... Please read on.
As you by now no doubt know, Steorn is a small Irish company claiming a novel "free energy" technology called "Orbo." Orbo technology comes in two known flavors, one which utilizes permanent magnets, and one which employs some sort of negation of counter electromotive force. You may also know that I have been chosen as one of 300 engineering companies to begin studying and developing Steorn's technology.
Some unavoidable responsibilities took me out of the country recently for a month. That trip, combined with my own personal laziness and lack of adequate motivation to work non-stop 24/7, have thus far prevented me from plowing through all of the Steorn training modules made available to me to date.
I must also confess that having only lately been informed that the revelations ahead of me are to be confined to methods of "decoupling CEMF from torque for electromagnet interactions" rather than "controlling the response time of magnetic materials" -- Steorn's originally announced technology -- I have also been correspondingly somewhat less excited about plowing ahead. Why, you might ask? Because there are already any number of competing technologies in the public literature that make very similar claims.
Nevertheless, I will for the moment share my thoughts about what I have seen in the SKDB and associated forums so far, in the hope of giving you a little insight as you wait for a more thorough and definitive report.
Steorn has been periodically publishing training modules that are generally quite visually appealing. I have so far worked my way through about a third of the collection of modules now available to me. Modules have titles such as (for example) "Key Concepts in Rotary Systems." As you might imagine from this title, most of the content is "nothing new" and nothing that could not be found in a conventional textbook. In fact, reviewing an outline of course material that I recently discovered in the forums, everything so far revealed is merely "background information" that you could find in almost any basic physics text.
The modules appear to be professionally produced, and feature FLASH-based animations and illustrations. Each module presents its material in a logical sequence, using repetition for emphasis. I would say that the material is presented nominally at a high-school level. The final sequence in each module is a series of quiz questions that reinforce what has been presented in the module. Each module takes about ten to fifteen minutes to thoughtfully complete. You can actually personally experience one of Steorn's modules as a sample by clicking here:
As a "big picture" thinker myself, I have found the training modules to be a very useful refresher course, bringing some basic concepts "back into focus" as I prepare to delve into the "inner sanctum" of arcane and occult Steorn knowledge.
Perhaps more notable and striking to me than the training materials has been what I have observed in the forums. My impression so far is that the quality and thoughtfulness of the participants stands head and shoulders above the blathering that I find in most "public" forums on this topic. I've been quite encouraged to see a degree of professionalism, courtesy, and positive interaction not found elsewhere. Participants also share information and encouragement on other related topics, and so there is a developing sense of community.
To be sure, there has been a solid dose of "realism" among the participants expressed in the forums -- for example, the recognition that nothing "new" has been revealed yet, and some open questioning of Steorn's approach to this entire matter -- however, there is still predominantly a "wait and see" attitude that seems to me to be generally very mature.
Frankly, much of the discussion that I've seen in the more public forums, beneath news articles, and even comments from some responding to articles that I have written, has impressed me as petulant, childish, and closed-minded. Name calling and ridicule does so little to advance scientific knowledge! In contrast, reading the forums available to the Steorn 300 has generally been quite refreshing.
Finally, I am glad to report that things are scheduled to "heat up" in the near future... according to the present schedule, a few of the penultimate modules are to be published soon. These modules are also nothing new, dealing with conventional tools like temperature and magnetic field sensors and data acquisition systems. However, following close on their heels, the "real meat" of the course is slated to appear - namely, some modules that are very specific to Orbo technology. I plan to make every effort to be "caught up" in my module review by the time they appear!
Well, these have been some of my first impressions. I intend to continue with a mind as open as possible as I study the confidential SKDB materials. Although being one of "The Steorn 300" is not quite what I originally anticipated, I intend to see it through. With the final "Orbo" revelations on the horizon, things may be heading in the direction of becoming considerably more interesting. I hope you'll stay patiently tuned for further news!

As one of those who has been looking forward to your report, I was both glad to see this post and glad to know that you are taking the time to do a thorough investigation (to the extent that Skeorn makes available to make the report complete. Take the time you need to complete the work, and we will appreciate the report.
"Orbo is controversial - science tells us that energy can not be created - yet Orbo does this. Orbo is an over unity technology - it provides more energy out than is put in"
The 1st law of thermodynamics says you can't do that. The first law is based on observation like all laws. No one has ever been able to produce energy from nothing. All of the best scientists in the world have never been able to do that. Isaac Newton couldn't do it. Tesla couldn't do it, Edison couldn't do it. Einstein couldn't do it. Now maybe the boys at orbo are smarter than all those folks and figured out how to do it... but I wouldn't bet on it.
I'm finding this approach quite ridiculous. They've gone through processes of public display, peer review; now they're training up non peers to prove they tech?
Its quite simple for them to get off their ass and set up a demo, for all to see, then announce and display. If this technology does what they say, it should be childsplay to setup a long term demonstration which is quite clearly violating thermodymamics.
As it is, they have provided nothing an educated person can actually back.
Given they have technology which _may_ do as they say; i ask you, if their technology was proved by them (or anyone) to not be present, how would you make money from the time and money spent? The answer, build magnetic measurement technology for sale and sell educational training on rotation you can flog off to the irish government.
Since they appear to be teaching many engineers on how to create Orbo, would it not be better to have these engineers create their own version and have it on display? I think that would make more of an impact, given it's controversial nature, rather than just ONE demo which would be accused of being a fake anyways.
Thank you. How foolish of me to not realize the tiny cloverleaf to the left of the date was a link to your author's page! I didn't find your blog searching for "creator". I found it searching for "Steorn". If you're going to respond to each comment on a thread, couldn't you also let us know when you're ending that thread? I'm also sorry for breaking my promise!I'll try harder.
