Christian, Are You To Blame For The Evil In America? The "powers behind the throne" have managed to trivialize voting in America by deceiving you with an either/or logical fallacy. How do you choose a candidate to support?by creator

♣ While there is a wide spectrum of opinion in Christendom as to just how involved a Christian ought to be in politics at large, most Christians I know at least still consider it an important civic duty to exercise their vote. However, even that vestige of social responsibility has become no more than an empty illusion. Voting (as practiced by "Christians") has in fact become the very reason for the steady decline of America into evil during the last century.
Christian, if you "vote" --
NOTE: "to vote" means "to approve:"
Merriam-Webster: A usually formal expression of opinion or will in response to a proposed decision; especially: one given as an indication of approval or disapproval of a proposal, motion, or candidate for office
-- if you "vote" i.e. "approve" the "lesser of two evils" when you go to the polls, you -- that's right, You! -- are responsible for the evil that threatens to destroy our once great nation!
This conclusion is inescapable! If you vote forevil, you getevil. As the saying goes, if you keep on doing the same thing, don't be surprised when you get the same result!
Is this what you wish to teach your children? Imagine little Johnny coming home with a cigarette butt in his lunch box.
Dad: "Johnny, haven't I warned you about smoking?" Johnny: "My choice was either that cigarette or a crack pipe." Dad: "That cigarette will give you lung disease!" Johnny: "But Dad, I chose the lesser of two evils! You should be proud of me!"
Now comes a presidential candidate who stands for all the good that America once represented. He is the champion of the Constitution. He has been stalwart in his opposition to all evil bills during his 20-year tenure as a Republican congressman. His name is Ron Paul!
Me: "Vote for Ron Paul! He's the finest candidate to run for President on a major party ticket in my lifetime!" Christian: "My only choices are Hillary or Giuliani." Me: "But Rudy is a cross-dressing, flip-flopping, liberal statist warmonger!" Christian: "Gotta pick the lesser of two evils, don't you get it? Besides, everyone knows that Ron Paul is not electable!"
Christian, will you "vote" for, i.e. "approve" of a righteous man as your President? Or will you just hasten the slow descent of America to utter destruction by voting for evil? If you choose the latter, go look in the mirror, because YOU are personally responsible for evil in America!

Sound reasoning in my view. But you could substitute "Christian" with "average voter" and be just as accurate. Or maybe you have conclusive evidence that only Christians are duped into the "lesser of two evils" trap. I don't mean to be overly critical, just to relate what the article has educed here.
Your point is well taken, and, I concede, absolutely correct. The reason I've directed this particular article at "Christians" is that, as a worshipper of Jesus Christ myself I am especially grieved when I observe those whom I consider "brothers and sisters" behaving in ways that display such shallowness of thought and lack of critical discernment skills. Sometimes waving a red flag gets the bull's attention.
Thanks to your comment, perhaps I will sometime later reprise the article with a similar piece aimed at the mindless "sheeple at large." :)
Sam Harris explained this phenomenon best when he wrote, "Countries like Norway, Iceland, Australia, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Japan, the Netherlands, Denmark and the United Kingdom are among the least religious societies on Earth. According to the United Nations’ Human Development Report (2005) they are also the healthiest, as indicated by measures of life expectancy, adult literacy, per capita income, educational attainment, gender equality, homicide rate and infant mortality. Conversely, the 50 nations now ranked lowest in terms of human development are unwaveringly religious."
I agree with your point sir. I agree 100%. The real danger is not the proffessing christian community. The real threat as allways is their leaders, just as with the neo-con leadership. Unfortunately americans are too much like sheep and believe what is preached whether it be theological or political doctrine. The christian community has been under siege the same way the government has. The real problem is this, only a remnant realize it, the rest are content with the status quo untill they get cold or hungry. In my opinion the church has been cold and hungry for the better part of the 20th century without even knowing it.
So in short, yes the message from pulpits around the country seem to reflect a pro interventionist, empirical, doctrine which is "justified" in order to spread the gospel of The christian community.(maybe we should lead by example, 90% of all internet pornography is american made and distributed throughout the world.) Thats a great way to lead by example. If leading by example does not work we can resort to pointing a gun at em. Just like we did to the Hawaiians. We stole their land without firing a shot, but when a gun is pointed at you, you will typically give up your wallet.
Do your research on Hawaii. We stole that land from them. The christian evengelicals went there to help them so to speak. Just check and see who owns the most private land in Hawaii. You will be very surprised.
It is desendants of missionaries.. they own more private land than anyone else.
You can bet on it, the sheep are asleep, and the neo-cons are in wolves clothing. Unfortunately the sheep will wake up dead one day, Beleiving all along the message they hear over and over...that is... "We will take care of you. That is of course untill it is no longer in our interest to do so. At that point, we want your land and everything else you have of value. That includes your sons and daughters if needed to protect the interest of America"
And by the way, it is no longer america, it is now the UN that calls the shots here. Just wait, they will be comming for your guns soon. Give the UN an inch on Global Warming and they will take a mile on other issues.
Ron, I do so hope ya win, but if you do, we will need to keep you out of harms way. You will make a great many enemies when they realize you are in their way of doing business as usuall, aka.. white collar mafia operations.
Guilty as charged. I once long ago voted for the lesser. Then I woke up. Or should I say, the Lord awakened me. I was ashamed and repented. I had made up my mind never to vote again unless a candidate came along that stood for truth. Then along came Ron Paul. God Bless this man!
I believe at present we have been given a government, a president, that we deserve, because we as a nation, turned our backs on God. I believe also, God has given our nation one last chance to repent and he will allow Ron Paul into the White House.
I was awe struck by Ron Pauls statement (paraphased) "I didn't know if there was much of a "remanent" out there and how big it was, but apparently it is bigger than I imagined." The use of that word in my opinion is prophetic. There is a "remanent". They are waking up all over this nation. I believe their numbers are great enough that we will have a Ron Paul presidency. It is not going to be easy to get it though. We are being tested.  We are telling the Pharoah (government), "Let our people go!" Some of those are resistant to the truth and change. We must go out in the wilderness and spread the seeds of truth. Hopefully we can past this test. Ron Paul is America's Last Hope.
