AMERICA IS GOING TO DIE! by The Real Liberal

Let's face it, America is dying, and it is happening right before our very eyes. She is losing the will to live, and it is getting worse. Here is a short list of her symptoms:
Her arteries have been clogged by Big Government-Cholesterol.
A Multi-Trillion Dollar Deficit tumor has been lodged deep within her brain.
Her F-cell (Freedom Cell) count has been lowered by the SRP (Security-Rather-Preferred) virus.
Finally, her Voting-Liver is no longer producing Vote-Bile needed to keep her Democratic-Republic system intact, for "Voter Apathy" syndrome has rotted her VL to nothing but the state of "Only old people vote" stage.
But what are the two doctors called the Republicans and Democrats doing to save her, nothing. In fact, they are making it worse. And they are each doing it in their own sick, twisted ways. On social issues, the Republicans use religion saws and threat of terrorism pills to destroy our personal freedoms. But what do the Democrats do about this; they just twiddle their fingers and back behind the evil "Patriot Act" placebo. On economic issues, the Democrats take shift and use oppressive gastro-regulation to diminish the size of the private sector stomach. They power these Regulation machines using "Liberal Guilt" energy, and plug them into lawsuit outlets. They power the whole economic wing of the hospital this way. Yet the Republicans are pretending that this is not even happening.
So using this deadly chemo, both of these crooked political doctors are slowly killing Lady Liberty and laughing in her face about it. Yet, if they think they are in ultimate control, they are dead wrong. If you are disgusted by the surgery performed by these two unlicensed physicians, you can voice your rage. Write letters to your congressmen, start protests in front of the capital, and never back down. You run this country, let the doctor hear it.
GIVE AMERICA A SECOND OPINION!!!

Hi Raven West,
I agree with your sentiment. However, you don't run this country by writing letters or shouting at it. It takes devoting personal, private time to attending public meetings and participating in local government.
Letters to congressmen are just used to tweak their message. We can't elect a snake and expect it to behave as a hamster once in office. We need to shape, then elect candidates who will represent our principles.
Everytime a candidate speaks in your community, for any office from school board to mayor, grill them about their views on principles that you promote. Shape them. Challenge them. Hold them accountable, over and over and over....and write your congress critter too...it sure can't hurt.

Dear Real Liberal -
I read one of your other articles, but I want to welcome you to the Chart! I think Jahfre addressed you incorrectly as Ms. West looks to be in her mid-twenties :)
I am very excited to find out you are 13 years old. I met an 11 year old a couple weeks ago who started chiming in on the Federal Reserve while I was talking and I'll admit some of his ideas were better than mine. :)
Very nice analogy in your article, and we need a new doctor. There are some who believe that the Reps can be remodeled - perhaps, perhaps, but I have my doubts based from my learnings on how the political machine truly works.
However, Jahfre is right in that local activity is key. However I encourage you to keep shouting here at the Chart, and not just because I want to read more of your articles. In the next couple years, more and more people will be seeking out your voice.
Jahfre also has a point about accountability - but the issue is its a bit hard to define so far - which I have defined clearly in my master campaign ppt which can be reached from here.
My best,
Jake Towne
