Congressman Ron Paul has had so many big name endorsements over the last week and a half, it is hard to keep up with them all. The names just keep pouring in.
People big in their profession or big only in their mother’s eyes.
People big in the structure of their family, or in the hierarchy of their association.
People big in their church choir, or big on their baseball team, or big in the eyes of a little girl.
People big of heart and big of soul.
People with great big dreams and big notions and big ideas.
People with big consciences and big feelings about war and bullets and blood and bombs.
People who talk big.
People who eat too much and are simply big.
People who feel big now that they have a candidate that they can vote happily for.
People who band together and do big things.
People who are big because they are people.
People who are big because they are good, honest, down-home, hard-working folk.
Big names indeed are endorsing Ron Paul to lead them this election season.
How big are you?

Ron Paul had 100,000 people donate to him in 2007. Let's say that 10% of those people don't even live in America and aren't eligible to vote. Now, let's double that, and say that Ron Paul has 200,000 supporters, only half of which have donated, the other half of which endlessly spam for him or hold these rallies. OK, well, fine and good. But Ron Paul got 400,000 votes in 1988 under the Libertarian Party, coming in a very distant third place. In all honesty, aside from the money made in this online pyramid scheme, Ron Paul actually has less support in 2007 (voter wise) than he did 20 years ago! The only reason we're hearing so much about him is because of the Internet, as well as the only reason he's raised these millions of dollars. 40 MILLION Americans voted in 2004, with Bush getting some 25 MILLION votes. Compared to Ron Paul's 100,000 supporters, or 200,000 supporters (being generous), Ron Paul is abysmally low in terms of actual voters, and not fake, easily manipulated, online straw polls (usually showing the same 5000-10,000 people over and over again who are constantly online, so they can make it look like Paul is winning by a 75% margin). Anyway, Paul has a hypocritical voting record and caters to racists. This is the guy who votes NO to a cheap $1000 dollar congressional medal of honor for Rosa Parks, but YES to over $500 million dollars of tax payer monies to be funneled into his pet projects in Texas. The same guy who votes NO to war, but YES to declaring war, unchecked military retaliations and increased recruitment on school campuses. The same guy who votes NO to the Patriot Act, but YES to increased monitoring. If this isn't hypocritical, I don't know what is. This has got to be the worst example of a pyramid scheme I've ever seen in my life. A trendy bandwagon formed right before my very eyes. And Paul has NOT been "censored", he's appeared multiple times on every major news channel, cable talk show, radio show, and has had ample exposure in media and print of all kinds. He simply is not winning. Can we say, OVERHYPE?
