Pledge to your own Independence, not to our erroneous Constitution I love the U.S. Constitution, but the fact is, it contains errors that have permitted the power grabs we have witnessed by politicians in D.C. since the Civil War 148 years ago. It's time for individuals pledge to lead independent healthy lives, and stop expecting others to pay their own way.by Nickalis N. Tower

The reason why religious people have killed each other throughout history over their versions of god is because of their individual dogmas. The problem with today's Pledge of Allegiance dogma forced onto students since the 1950s is that it is indoctrination to a theistic world view. I refuse to swear an allegiance to anyone's theistic god concept. I have my own conception of god, and I do not fear him, nor do I seek to impose my fellow Americans to live their lives in fear "under him".
A cursory glance at the Oath of Offices assumed by world officials reveals them as the source of why people today continue to kill each other over nationality dogmas. Military members of each country believe they are bound to follow the commands of their leaders after taking their oath of office. But are they really? What if that oath of office does not uphold individual rights? The primary flaw with all our U.S. Oaths of Office is that they do not defend the individual rights as sacred. Indeed, only Belarus, Moldova, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, and Spain mention individual or citizen rights at all in their oaths of office! Thus, a U.S. military member is considered the property of our government as soon as that individual voluntarily sign some documents -- but this is a falsehood. You can never sign away your inalienable rights. Indeed, this is why the American Founding Fathers decided they had the right not to owe further allegiences to their own sworn oaths to the King of England.
All military members the world over, in every government including the U.S.A. are held -- at the point of a gun -- by their political leaders who would accuse them of "high crimes" and "treason" if they -- as a conscientious defender of individual rights -- objected to the reasons and objectives for a particular military mission. Consider for example, the U.S. Civil War. This was a war initiated for economic reasons, not to end slavery. I highly recommend all students and Americans read the excellent scholarly book "The South was Right!". Slavery only became Lincoln's fake moral crusade that he adopted to hold his union together to continue the unpopular war against the confederate states.
Let's proceed now with an analysis of the oaths of office sworn by today's power-and-glory-seeking U.S. officials (Ron Paul excepted) and honorable military members.
In the United States, the oath of office for the President of the United States is specified in the U.S. Constitution (Article II, Section 1):
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
The most aggregious flaw in this Oath is that a President can mistakenly think he has grounds to become a Lincolnite-tyrant in order to preserve (as-is today, forever!) the Constitution of the United States. I have no problem with the president protecting and defending the Constitution, but the bottom line is that inalienable rights were defended and used during the founding of America and during the formation of its founding Constitution. It did not arise magically from a mountain top by the hand of anyone's god. It is not to be assumed as a dogmatic political bible forever etched in stone. You must think of the Constitution as a 2nd revision of the brilliant idea that is America: that individuals have inalienable rights to life, liberty, earned property, and the pursuit of happiness. This inalienable right to earned property was the MOST AGGREGIOUS OMMISSION of the Declaration of Independence. This flaw led to the militaristic crusades of the 1800s under the fraudulent banner of "eminent domain". Because if you, as an individual, do not have the right to keep the fruits of your own honest labor, then you my friend have no right to your independent life. By the way, lest you think I'm a blind mouthpiece of the Southern Confederacy, I'll burst that bubble right now: The Constitution of the Confederate States of America contained all the essential elements of the U.S. Constitution, and did not recognize any new inalienable rights (like the right to earned property). So in other words, let's imagine that the remaining states of the USA never attacked the newly independence states of the CSA, and the two countries went on living side by side these past 148 years. The problem my friends with this imaginary lost utopia world that a few of today's "Southern Patriots" live in is that their own CSA Constitution, being an essential copy of the 2nd Revision of America's founding Constitution -- with all its flaws -- would've not been able to prevent the financial monopolists from assuming control over the entire country in exactly the same fashion as happened in 1913 with the formation of the private Federal Reserve monopoly system.
Now let's look at the oath taken by the honorable military members, the Vice President, members of the cabinet, U.S. Senators and Congressmen, and other Federal employees:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
The first error in this oath is that is violates Article VI, clause 3 of the constitution, which says "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States".
What if a person refuses to say "So help me God", and does not complete the oath? Worse yet, what if that person doesn't believe in god and takes the oath anyway, in its entirety? They have committed fraud! How many frauds do we have operating in government today, that profess falsely that they believe in a god in order to garner unearned praise and votes by "he's-a-religious-man"-duped public citizenry? Politicians pander to all "powerful groups" today, whether it be NOW, unions, so-called minorities, religionists, financial or business monopolists, or militarists. What most power-and-glory seeking politicians want is to continue their bogus careers of "helping the public" via pandering to those powerful groups and garnering back-slapping group votes. The implicit modus operandis is "You vote for me, I'll defend and favor your group." But America wasn't founded by statesmen that believed in sacred groups... they believed in the sacred inalienable rights of the individual. That was the fountainhead, from the Declaration of Independence, that MADE POSSIBLE the idea of a brand new 3-branch Republican form of government that became realized via the U.S. Constitution. America's political inventors had achieved the historically unprecedented feat of laying down a system of law that UPHELD AND DEFENDED INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. It was an incomplete defense, but historically it is a magnificent MORAL ACHIEVEMENT. However heroic the invention of the U.S. Constitution is even today, it remains a flawed document that prevents the total and complete defense of the individual -- the ultimate and factual minority -- the minority of one.
A New Pledge upholding Individual Rights that even a child can grow to understand and defend.
The following Pledge was published first on August 14th 2008, at the initiation of what it's inventor calls the "Silk Revolution". The Silk Revolution is a nonviolent, creative revolution that upholds the individual as sacred against any group or government initations of force.
I pledge allegiance to no flag, and issue no one a moral blank check. With confidence in my conscious judgment, on which I stand, one individual fighting, for liberty and justice for all.
In closing, today's Pledge of Allegience is nothing but an indoctrinating tool the government uses against our children to dogmatically accept (that is without understanding what it is they are following and why) a theists world view and view of national patriotism: salute my flag and live under my god. Only a Universal Individual Pledge of Independence will lead to a genuine "brotherhood of man" -- one that upholds the individual's life as sacred.
The U.S.A.'s Declaration of Independence was a brilliant first step in self government. We need a new Declaration of Individual Independence, to finish what America's Heroic Founding Fathers began. Version 2.0 of America could be brilliant. Bring on an Article V Convention! I'll happily be a delegate to it.

Hi Nickalis,
I wouldn't discourage anyone from pledging themselves to themselves. It seems redundant and unnecessary to me but each to their own.
However, if two or more people started reciting a pledge, to anything, it becomes just another dogmatic mantra. I don't want to live in a world dominated by group-thinking mantra-chanting libertarians any more than I want to live in a world dominated by group-thinking mantra-chanting liberals or conservatives.
There you go again being critical of someone else's plan but still not telling us the details of your own. Remember I challenged you to lay out your solution rather than an Article V Convention.
Still waiting for your plan to become public knowledge so we can discuss it. Time to cut bait or fish Fire-Eater. Either come up with a detailed plan that's better than what we have in the Constitution, or get out the way of those of us who are trying to improve this nation using the constitutional tools we have at hand.
It's amazing; you hit all around the actual problem and managed to miss the real culprit of our demise, the 17th Amendment. That is the epicenter of all that ails us. If you have actually studied the original structure of the Federal Government as created by the Constitution you would realize that.
If you want to fight for something that will absolutely destroy the bankster controlled sock puppet, two party power structure that is plaguing our nation then you need look no further than the Repeal of the 17th Amendment.
And all it would take for the repeal to occur is to have 3/4ths of the state’s legislatures ratify the repeal amendment. All fifty, or according to Oboma, fifty seven states attendance to independent ratification hearings constitutes a Convention.
