Canadians are BETTER than Americans! Why are Americans required to present a passport at the border when Canadians are not?by Big Louie

It is pretty obvious., at least to the U.S. Congress. Canadian’s are much less likely to be terrorists and are much more trustworthy, That according to our own Government, with several laws either on-the-table or already passed, which supports this assumption.
Soon, all Citizens of the United States of America will be required to present a passport when crossing the U.S. Border, whether it is by land, sea or air travel. Originally slated to begin Jan 1, 2008, President Bush delayed enactment due to delays in Passport processing.
Thisarticle outlines the process to be enforced on U.S. Citizens.
Yet, the newest proposal, on which my title statement is based, will allow Canadians to freely cross the border by land or sea with just a driver’s license.
To read quotes from our own U.S. Senate, Senator Leahy said that terrorists are "not going to come across with a valid passport" and that the passport requirement is "really insulting to Canada." His action pleased many in Vermont, where U.S. and Canadian citizens have long crossed from one country into the next with relatively little scrutiny. "All this is going to do is stop the people who want to come to the United States to spend money and the people who want to involve themselves with business or travel, education, healthcare -- whatever -- between the U.S. and Canada," he said. "It won't deter a single terrorist."
Actually Sen. Leahy, That is VERY INSULTING TO ME and I am quite sure that it is insulting to all Americans. You are saying that you trust Canadians more than you trust your fellow countrymen.
I can understand your need (power hungry desire) to implement a national ID card for all U.S. Citizens. I can see how requiring all U.S citizens who travel to neighboring countries be required to present a passport, even though, you yourself admit, terrorists are "not going to come across with a valid passport". It makes sense not to require the same of those citizens of our neighboring countries. It would definitely "Insult" them. We wouldn’t want to hurt their feelings, would we?
This is just the first step to requiring a singular National ID card.. Without the ID, how will you and the rest of the Government continue to improve your ability track our every move?
There are other solutions though. Perhaps, Sen Leahy, you and the rest of the congress could vote to have our IDs tattooed on the inside of our Forearms? Of course,
you would not have been the first to think of thisID Plan, but it would certainly fit in your vision of our future.
It is here, on this issue, that you will find only one Presidential Candidate fighting the National ID card, Dr. Ron Paul. There is only one solution to stopping this government from becoming Fascist. You must Vote for Dr. Paul in this Primary season.
