PRESS RELEASE - Nazareth, Pennsylvania Tea Party on Tax Day

Citizens Gather in Protest of the Federal Income Tax and Wasteful Federal Spending

On April 15th several local citizens will peacefully assemble noon today at the Nazareth Post Office. The goal of this protest is to call attention to the truths of the federal income tax and declare our dissatisfaction with the unprecedented wasteful spending by Congress and massive money creation by the Federal Reserve.

In a time when Congress deflects the dissatisfaction from the public towards financial CEOs, we remark that the real problems lie with our monetary policies, our tax policies, and our foreign policies. That much of these actions are unconstitutional is inexcusable. We must have a national debate to resolve this crisis, and Congress passing history's largest spending bill without reading it is shameful.

A separate protest will be held this Saturday, April 25 at Philadelphia City Hall as part of the End the FED movement. Those interested may contact jaketowne@gmail.com for more information.
