Oh, you thought April Fools Day was April FIRST? No, today is the real April Fools Day! Today, millions of fools are paying "income taxes" that they don't owe. In light of that fact, I thought it fitting to publish today a reminder of a relatively recent but little publicized IRS loss in court.
The IRS lost yet another important case in February when Tyrie W. Boyer, a county judge in Florida's Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in Jacksonville, ruled that attorney Charles Behm had committed no criminal act by refusing to file federal tax returns since 1999.
This loss occurred during what radio personality Dave Champion likes to call the IRS's "Tax Terrorism Season," that period of time between the first of the year and the dreaded date of April 15th. (You may enjoy reading Dave's excellent reference piece, "Debunking IRS Lies.")
Noted attorney Tommy Cryer, who also beat the IRS in court when accused of not filing, assisted Behm with his defense. After his own win in court a couple of years ago, attorney Cryer founded an organization known as "Truth Attack."
How will you spend today? Those "in the know" are celebrating these notable victories over the IRS instead of continuing to cower in fear of that notorious terrorist organization.
