The pollsters insist that polls conducted over the phone are the most scientific way of accurately assessing a candidate’s viability. This statement couldn’t be further from the truth. What it all boils down to in the end is votes. On Caucus and Primary day you cannot phone in your vote and for all the Ron Paul supporters you cannot click your vote either. You must show up in person and cast your ballot live.
The Ron Paul brigade has proven they can vote. Ron Paul wins every single internet poll as well as almost all cell phone text message polls after network debates.
The question media pundits are constantly asking regarding the huge internet voting and fund raising success of Ron Paul is can he translate his tremendous support into Caucus and Primary votes?
Well let’s take a look at what that means. To the media, polls are success. Polls determine who gets the most media coverage. Polls determine who gets endorsed by big names in both politics and from Hollywood.
The Ron Paul supporters have proven online votes and text message votes, but have they proven votes in person, where you actually have to leave your computer or couch and travel somewhere, listen to a bunch of stump speeches then wait in long lines to vote? The only test of that are straw polls. Straw polls are actually a rehearsal for Caucus and Primary day. They are held in almost every state and require a person to travel (sometimes hours away), sit through speeches and stand in lines to vote. Furthermore straw polls are also GOP fund raisers, so in order to vote you often have to pay about $35 to $55.
So now you’re getting to the question the media pundits are asking. The translation to actual votes!
There have already been close to 50 official straw polls throughout the country. There is a website that keeps track of these events and tallies the scores just like the Media and pollsters do. Now remember straw polls are the closest you can get to actual voting. There is no spammers clicking on 50 internet polls per day, there is no phone polling to the miniscule reminant of the decimated Republican Party. These are real people taking the day off to go and support their candidate. So without further ado here are the results.
As you can see the candidate with the most number of Straw poll wins is Ron Paul. Also notice that the current break through front runner in the phone polls Mike Huckabee has won only 2 straw polls.

Now here is the really shocking statistic of these real life votes. If you look at the total straw polls and average Ron Paul’s polling percentage the same way phone polls are averaged, the percentages of votes for Ron Paul is 33.02%.
33.02% is the media pundits answer to their question of translation to actual votes.
So if you were hesitant to throw your endorsement towards Ron Paul because of the Medias assessment of viability, your likely in a genuine position to justify Ron Paul as your candidate.
I say, welcome to the Ron Paul Revolution.

There are gonna be some shocked people out there when the Ron Paul Revolution storms the polling places. I cant wait to officially give this great man my support.
I just want to scream in the Mass Media's face! I won't take this anymore. We have been bamboozled by both parties! Lied to our faces. Our government is fat and bloated and all I get are clones of the same candidates from both parties. Our Dollar is in crisis and all I get are articles about a white supremacy donation! Out of 18 Million Dollars a $500.00 donation is what you write about. What the hell is wrong with you writers? The dollar is being abandoned in all the countries in the Middle-East! You can't give them away! When the country elects a Democrat the dollar will be so devalued how do they expect to pay for the "free" medical coverage? Dollars? Ha! Well thanks for the good news! 33%, really? No surprise here. People are screaming mad too then I suppose.

Thanks for bringing things back into prospective. With all the polls and MSM crap its hard to remember that our people go out and vote. Maybe we should all get accountability partners to keep us accountable to vote. Of course I am in Texas and it might be all over with by the time we get to vote...that sucks.
Um, if Ron Paul had the name recognition and media coverage of any of the 'top-tier' candidates, how many revolutionaries would have stormed these straw polls? If Ron Paul weren't the only Rep candidate screaming his message of ending Iraq and constitutional government, how passionate would his supporters be?
Ron Paul's performance in straw polls is greatly a result of his being shunned by the media and his lone wolf views that have inspired passionate activism to raise awareness from him.
A LOT of people that didn't vote in the straw polls will vote in their primaries. While I think the polling methods are certainly inaccurate, I don't think we should expect 33% nationwide. RP will win this thing by having 100% of the delegates at the national convention.
Main stream media is a controlled propaganda machine. A handful of organizations run it. What you see on television, read in newspapers, and hear on radio is what they want you to consume, nothing more and nothing less. The net on the other hand is the only way to get the truth out to the masses. As Lincoln once said: "You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." As the rock group The Who sang "We won't be fooled again." Rise up. Elect the only true and honest man left in government, Ron Paul. Not since JFK has there been a man that spoke the truth like The Apostle Paul. God Bless him and may God protect him.
Ron Paul is the only candidate in my life time that I can believe when he speaks (I voted first in 1976). That alone is enough reason to entrust him with my vote.
They want to make him go away. Polls mean nothing. I see the support with my own two eyes. Name another canidate whos supporters you've seen at a Ron Paul function? Another canidate that has meetups all over the Country for him/her? Another Canidate who has grassroots efforts bigger then their own campagin? Have any of these people read anything written by Ron Paul? Or even listened to him? What a gift of insight this man has! I voted for him first when he ran in 1978(or was it 1980) when I lived in Sweeny, Texas. We were all excited by him even back then. He won in a very close race against an establishment well- financed opponent. Since then everyone I have voted for (sometimes third party) has lost.

Thank God for Ron Paul! The only man in the country who cares about the people! not the corparations! Help restore the rebublic and save the country. I'm not even a christian but I pray to the great God of the universe to Protect Ron Paul, and if anything happens to this man while campaining so help us all, Â there will be hell to pay!! Wow... did you know Zogby came up with 33% too? Zogby buried it in the last paragraph or their news release on Nov 20th, under a misleading headline. Here's the last paragraph:
The blind bio question was also posed to a larger pool of 1,009 likely voters nationwide, including Democrats and independents, and Paul was the big winner among that universe of voters, winning 33%, compared to 19% for Giuliani, 15% for Romney, and 13% for Thompson.
Yet he will still get stomped come primary time. I see that info is surfacing regarding his white supremist ties and his evolution denial. Come back to reality befor it's too late paultards.
How anyone can tell such BIG BROWN lies through such little, white teeth, I will never understand. How many people were polled? The fact that you don't say proves the poll is a fraud. Paul is getting 0.9% of the vote.
We are correct to sneer at telephone polls (because they include apathetic voters), but don't expect that Straw Polls are necessarily much more accurate (because they only include particularly enthusiastic voters).
The truth lies somewhere in the middle: The more apathetic voters who actually vote, the worse Ron Paul will do, because apathetic voters lean towards the "safe", mainstream-media-approved candidates. On the flip side, the fewer apathetic voters who turn out, the better Ron Paul will do.
The upshot: Ron Paul supporters everywhere must continue to convert apathetic non-voters into ardent Ron Paul supporters!
Don't forget that a heartfelt conversation does more to convince a voter than a dozen television and radio spots. If each of us made it our mission to get five people excited about Ron Paul, he would win in a landslide!
WE will decide who wins the election. So keep talking to your friends, family and neighbors about Ron Paul! Ron Paul can win this if we keep at it!

Isnt it funny how that 33% number seems to be the exact same number that Zogby himself came up with in that blind poll.
But that cant be!!! Ron Paul cant win!
Keep in mind the very fact that " it`s always about the money"
Who is paying these pollsters for their results?? Pollsters are in this game for profit, not, for accuracy. Smile! I do believe there are going to be a lot of jaws hitting the floor during the primaries.

Awesome article! I cannot wait to vote for this man.....its come down to the loyalists vs the revolutionaries, and it looks like us revolutionaries are going to enjoy a nice victory......
EVERY MSM article must must must include the line, 'Ron Paul is polling nationally in single digits' - even if the article is about his record-breaking fund-raising, or his dedicated supporters. Do they want us to believe them? Hmm.
No one has replied to 'mg's comment - it's a dirty job but somebody's gotta ...
1- Ron Paul does not have 'white supremicist ties' - that smear was debunked with Facts several weeks ago
2- Ron Paul has not 'denied evolution' - he is a medical doctor, a scientist - scientists know that theories are just that; and theories are continually studied and tested. Newtonian physics was once ruling theory - but quantum physicists have disproved many of his assumptions. It's called scientific inquiry by scientific minds.
Let's prove the 33% true on primary day (whichever day it is in your area) - GET OUT AND VOTE - an election can be stolen only if it's close - a landslide cannot be stolen. Use paper ballots whenever possible, and where not possible, make sure your vote is recorded correctly. And also if possible, volunteer to count votes.
All those people who hate Ron Paul have clearly no clue of whats been going on in the world for a long, long time.We make loans to countries that can never pay them back and steal their resources, failing that, send in the cia killers, failing that the military. look at history and see how many puppet governments we have created, overthrowing "democraticly" elected leaders because they won't do what we want. Read a book people! i might suggest "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" for starters! the corporations run this country! hitler used "rallying around the flag" to promote his rule.... george is using his play book!
