My views on how to help the economy by Joe W.

Imagine a country that is in a deep economic recession, hyper-inflation, and high unemployment. Now imagine that this same country implimented most, if not all, of Milton Friedman's economic principles and concepts to help their economy. Now imagine the country having the highest standard of living and levels of economic growth, as well as one of the lowest unemployment rates in it's region. I know this sounds like a wonderful fairy tale, but this actually happened.
In 1973, Chilean President Augusto Pinochet implimented a economic plan designed by economists trained by Milton Friedman. The results are still there. Chile is still the most prosperous country in all of Latin America (even oil-rich Venezula can't compete).
I feel America needs to take the same approach, and if I am elected to the Florida State House I will promote similar policies to help Florida. We need to cut government to create economic opportunity, and we need to do it now.
