Glenn Beck Show Scrolls Paul Is Dead Message During Interview

On Tuesday at 7 Eastern Glenn Beck interviews Ron Paul and scrolls the message Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead from Huckabee on the bottom of the screen.

Ron Paul is Dead Message on Glenn Beck

I find it very offensive for the Glenn Beck show to be scrolling the message Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead on the bottom of the screen during the interview with Ron Paul. It just seems wrong to do it.

His interview I thought was fair on the surface but he did take the interview into the typical conspiracy camp.

I would like to know why this guy Huckabee thought it appropriate to make this statement that was scrolling by during this interview?  I was not familiar with the Beatles record story that he prefaced it with so did not make the connection.

Ron Paul was right in that the threat of Theocons taking over the government is a serious threat to our nation. In his statement of earlier in the day he seemed a bit tired and un focused when he was hit with these off Fauxian questions.

I might add that Paul was talking about domestic threats to our nation at the moment that Huckabee's death to Paul comments are scrolling by in this video.

The subliminals are pretty obvious to most any trained observer. I have studied the mind control methods used in advertising in college text books. This is no different if it is deliberate or not.

I was quite disgusted with Beck before this interview calling Ron Paul supporters basicly terrorist which angered a lot of people from what I have read. I was pretty much disgusted with Huckabee for his cross thing that was just so obvious. But that is politics. It is a dirty game. Here is the video.

First off, I agree wholeheartedly with Dr. Paul's sentiments. But I will step in for the Huckster here. I'm quite sure Minister Mike is making a reference to a mystery regarding The Beatles albums and hidden messages that could be heard while playing the LP's in reverse.

The Paul being referenced was Paul McCartney.

Ridiculous! Glenn Beck just gave a great interview with Paul! Fair. Fair. Fair. Paul alienated much of the republican base, but that is to be expected becuse of the message. Glenn Beck did a FANTASTIC job. And I am a HARD_CORE Paul supporter. This is the best we can expect.

This is ridiculous. I'm a huge Ron Paul fan, but Huckleberry was clearly making a humorous reference to the old Beatles conspiracy theory. Maybe those of you freaking out on this are too young to get the reference, which I can't hold against you, but believe me, he wasn't targeting Ron Paul.

I'm not sure it was on purpose; Huckabee did say it earlier in the day. It's at most a little scary. All in all I thought it was a fair interview, as far as mainstream media goes.  Not to say I wouldn't be entertained by listening to the pundits grill Huckabee on a possible Freudian slip.

So yeah, I'm thinking Glenn Beck doesn't have a whole lot of say over what appears in that scrolling ticker. That would be the Headline News ticker, that appears constantly, no matter what show is currently airing, excluding commercials. I think it's safe to say that Dr. Paul's appearance on Glenn Beck is some of the fairest national airtime he's received to date, and was given plenty of time to expand on his various political positions. Kudos to Beck for the fair shake.

Guys, you have to understand the "Paul is dead" thing in context. I'm not even sure Huckabee was talking about Ron Paul, but even if he was, it was not a particularly mean-spirited things to say--in context. And for the record, I'm an adamant Ron Paul supporter and not a fan of Huckabee, but it's important that we represent Ron Paul in the best way possible. Jumping on some silly comment and demanding an apology is not the way to do that.

the whole "paul is dead" was taken from an earlier interview with Huckabee who joked that reading too much into his Christmas ad reminded him of people claiming that if you played a particular beatle's album backwards you would hear "paul is dead", so the reference was to Paul McCartney, nor Ron Paul

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by Beck's treatment of Ron Paul. In past shows Glenn Beck has taken shots at Ron Paul, but I thought the overall tone of the interview was fair and balanced. By the way, Beck is not immune from promoting the conspiracy stuff either regarding the NAU. As I have listened to Beck in the past rip Ron Paul, it left me wondering why? It seems that Beck does share some of the same ideas as Ron Paul, which he admitted to today. BTW, I am Canadian. Not that that matters!

I agree that Ron Paul is denied media coverage, and I do think that it is done on purpose. But I think that Beck gave a very fair interview, and the scroll on the bottom of the screen had nothing to do with the interview. Even if it was on the extremely biased CNN. Ron Paul supporters are viewed as nutty conspiracy theorists, anti-jews and the like...

I think Glenn Beck's interview went a long way to dispel that myth but then I come in here to see that maybe the conspiracy nutters do seem to be the norm in the Paul campaign.

If anyone doesn't realize this, the scroll ticker has NOTHING to do with Glenn Beck's show and the "Paul is dead" comment came from Huckabee earlier in the day as people were citing, again, conspiracies about a "cross" on one of his videos that, in reality, was a bookshelf.

I'm sure if you want to watch the scroll all day long you'd find dozens of examples of oddly timed phrases. It is called "cherry picking" and it is an arguementitive fallacy.

THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY. If anything Beck did his best to help Paul out by bringing him away from the nutters and more into the mainstream.

The "paul is dead" scroll is a serious violation of ethics. The mainstream news networks use "trance generating loops" (the scroll) along with other images and sound to induce altered brain states for purposes of subconscious programming. You are literally being programmed "brainwashed" when you watch the news. Unless you can train your mind to be highly objective and discerning when watching the news, it is better to not watch it at all. Somebody did this on purpose for sure. The implications of this is that all Ron Paul supporters and other viewers who watched this "program" received the message "paul is dead" into their minds. The strongest forms of manipulation are carried out in the mental realm and use very subtle means. Take heed.

Yeah, it's one of those weird coincidences that is kinda freaky, but it's just coincidence. The Huckster was referencing Paul McCartney, it was in today's news, and therefore, in the ticker.

I also thought the interview was very good - even the part about the "911 truthers" gave Dr. Paul an opportunity to put an end to something I hear all the time ("He's a conspiracy nut!"). A lot of people try to smear Paul with that.

This interview sucked, no matter how Beck tries to spin it. The way he treated Ron Paul by saying that his supporters were threatening his life and cunningly insinuating that this is Dr. Paul's fault doesn't surprise me one bit, and only serves to show how much of a sniveling insecure coward Beck is.

FIRST OFF, in a prior show where Glen Beck was reporting on the Ron Paul Revolution, he called for the use of government violence against Ron Paul donors and labeled them as domestic terrorists.

And now, Glen Beck feigns surprise when some of the more vocal supporters respond in kind to his threat when he was the one who labeled them as a domestic terrorists and advocated their arrests in the first place?

His response is typical of cowardly instigators when they are called out. And as much as I am against initiating aggression, I am all for free speech and defending ones self. Especially from cowards in the main stream media who try to instigate violent action by the state against peaceful citizens who are only participating in the democratic process.

In this case, what did he expect? Didn't anybody ever teach him that if you stir up a hornets nest you are bound to get stung?

With that said, it doesn't surprise me either that CNN was scrolling "Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead" accross the screen while that cowardly instigator interviewed Ron Paul.

Glenn Beck's interview was the best MSM interview with Dr.Paul I've seen to date. (Is CNN finding some balance at last?)

With regard to the banner reading "Paul is Dead" - I would have to give CNN the benefit of the doubt in this case.

This was nothing to do with Glenn Beck - or Mike Huckabee for that matter.

In 1969 a DJ in the US started a rumor that Paul McCartney was dead, having been killed in an auto accident in 1966, and the current "Paul" was an imposter picked up at a Paul McCartney look-a-like contest. This started a frenzy of clue-searching, from album cover artwork to playing the Beatles songs in reverse, looking for evidence to support this claim.

"Paul is dead" was one of the reverse-masked phrases that someone discovered, along with "I buried Paul" (on the fade-out of "Strawberry Fields Forever"), the raised hand over McCartney's head on the Sgt.Pepper album cover, (the Welsh symbol for a dead person) - plus a lot of other things that might take on far greater significance with the help of mind-altering substances. It certainly boosted the sales of the "Abbey Road" album.

Mike Huckabee is old enough to remember this, so I don't think he intended it to be a subliminal shot at Ron Paul. He said it as a joke, which would have been lost on anyone not knowing about the "Paul is Dead" story from the 60's.

I can't speak for the production staffer at CNN running the banner of course.

Good grief! Are people really that insecure? For those who may be unaware of the whole issue:

  • Huckabee made a copycat Christmas video similar to Pauls, replete with red sweater. A white bookshelf in the background formed a "cross" and the not-so-subliminal message was pounced upon by the MSM.
  • Huckabee laughed it off and used the "Paul is dead ... " example from what one could supposedly hear when playing The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" backwards. Paul McCartney supposedly died in a car crash and a ringer brought in. The reference is a quintessential conspiracy comment.
  • CNN and other media had been scrolling that all day long.

Glenn Beck did an admirable job last night! I find it so disappointing to see a bunch of paranoid-sounding conspiracy comments abounding following some great MSM exposure.

Isn't it strange how people look for dirt on the candidates. Don't get me wrong I think they should. This is the most important election in the history of our country, and I know that I want a president who is for THIS country and not wanting to be king of the world. I want someone who is as far away this corruption as you can possibly be. That man is Ron Paul. You can't find any closet dirt on Ron Paul because there is none. I think Glen Beck was not only very fair to Ron Paul I think his views reflect very closely to Dr. Pauls. If they are not talking about our constitution and the strong protection from bad government it gives us, and how they are believe in it, They are not a good choice for president. Huckabee talks the constitution but that is all he does. He doesn't walk the talk. Huckabee would be a weak choice for the country. In comparison, Ron Paul has a 20 year record which proves he is constitutional. He cannot be bought. So do yourself a favor just get your facts together. Research their voting records and see what they have done over the years. This is the best way to guage a candidate. You can't listen to the dirt anyway as most of it just is not true. If you hear or see something that you find offensive, research it. Find out if it is true.

The ticker tape? Paul is dead. Fine but, paul who? It didn't say Ron Paul and we would know that's not true anyway. Ron Paul was talking to Glen Beck, and I don't think he was a ghost. Use your common sense people. Don't read into things. If Ron Paul didn't say it, didn't do it, or didn't know it then he didn't and I take that at face value because HE said it. You can spin truth, you can spin lies, but you cannot ignore truth. In the end it always finds you.

I can't believe how naive you guys are. Of course it was stage managed. Nothing happens on TV by accident. This is an old lawyers trick. Ever hear of a "double entendre". The alternative explaination gives plausible deniability.

When viewing the interview, the viewer will focus on the talking head on the screen while the peripheral vision records the text message where it goes straight to the unconscious. (Watch my right hand!)

The unconscious will associate the message with the Paul on the screen (and perhaps Paul Wellstone to increase the levels of meaning) regardless of how much denyability the lawyer mind can generate. Depending on the viewers age all of these shades of meaning may be recorded but the strongest force is given to the image on the screen.

The unconscious accepts literally the forboding message without analyzing the intent of the equivocation or the political context.

The point isn't that Huckabee was talking about the Beatles or about Mike Huckabee himself being part of this set up (at least I hope not)... What it's about is that CNN ran "Paul Is Dead" under Ron Paul... not to mention that a story about Bilderberg Inner Circle's Inner Circle discussing "taking Out" Ron Paul was reported just this week...

One word to the obviously scared or naive... "PUN"

Are you really that naive people to think it's just a coincidence?

Willing Ignorance is compliance wrapped in a thin veil of cowardice!

Who is Glenn Beck, and what does he do for a living?

"Paul is Dead" was a reference to Paul McCartney. The reference was in response to the "cross" being a subliminal message. The message Huckabee referenced was actually "I buried Paul" and you had to play the record backwards to hear it at the end of (The Beatles) "Strawberry Fields."

My first question after reading this article... Who controls the content of the scrolling at the bottom of the screen? I doubt its Glen Beck, who seemed quite fair in the interview.

I cant believe how viral this story went. The server on which the image was hosted nearly melted down. I might have to put some more compression in that image just to reduce my bandwidth use a bit. Wow is all I can say.

The "Paul is Dead" scroll, was no accident. That whole interview was a set up to alienante Paul from his base which IS 9/11 TRUTH PATRIOT MOVEMENT> AND DISCRDEDIT PAUL FOR HAVING TIES WITH IT> IT WAS NOT A REAL INTERVIEW> Glenn Beck is the same guy that called RP supporters "Terrorists" and for the Military to be used to KILL THEM!. He is NOT on our side. Get a clue.

I am a Ron Paul supporter, and I happened to be watching television when Mike Huckabee made the "Paul is dead. . ." comment. Immediately, I wondered if he was referring to Ron Paul. "Wow!” I thought. “You mean Huckabee is so afraid of Ron Paul that he is using this opportunity to single out Paul and put him down? That's amazing!" Thus, this morning I Googled "Paul is dead, Paul is dead, Paul is dead" to see what – if not Ron Paul -- Huckabee may have been referring to. Wikipedia tells of the Paul McCartney rumor of the 60s. As part of the Flower Children generation, I remember it well. Furthermore, it makes perfectly good sense to me that Huckabee was referencing the Strawberry Fields album. Otherwise, he would have said something more like, "Rudy is dead. . ." or "Mitt is dead. . ." or "McCain is dead. . ." None of the 4 Republican forerunners seriously consider Ron Paul to be much of a threat for the nomination. It is ludicrous to imagine that Huckabee would have taken this opportunity to single out Ron Paul -- of all people. If he had, it would have been a HUGE wake-up call that the mainstream candidates have finally taken notice of Ron Paul. At this point, it still seems as if they have not.

Of course Huckabby was refering to the Beatles episode and the comment was not directed at Ron Paul.

HOWEVER, the running of that banner was no doubt done on purpose. It was a subliminal message, attaching the thought of death to the persona of Ron Paul. Sure to freak out the supporters, and also intended to sway the undecided, by associating Ron Paul with death. This would work at a deep unconscious level.

It's amazing to watch the most powerful democracy on earth devolve and slowly turn into something else. Just like a plant being fossilized, it's component cells being replaced, bit by bit, imperceptibly, by mineral look-alikes, so that the finished fossil looks like a plant but has nothing left of it's original characteristics but the vestiges of the plant's shape and structure.

The USA now has almost nothing in common with the USA of WW2 that fought evil in Europe and the Pacific.

Scarry times...

Scarey times? What's even scarier to me is the possibility that the GOP stole the elections in 2004, and that the 2008 elections are probably already rigged. Princeton University has done an extensive investigation of the Diebold AccuVote DRE (Direct Recording Electronic) system, which is employed in Maryland, Florida, Georgia and many other states. And such Diebold, touch-screen voting systems are going to be used in nearly 40 states in the 2008 elections. The Princeton report shows that a virus can be inserted onto a Diebold voting system by a single individual "with just one or two minutes of unsupervised access to either the voting machine or the memory card," and that votes -- after they have already been confirmed and cast -- can flip to a candidate other than the one the voter had intended. See:

www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/2005/1529

Of course, Diebold is denying this, and the mainstream media isn't disclosing a peep. But word is out on the streets that the Illuminati's candidate of choice is Hillary, and that the rest of us here in the USSA may have no say whatsoever in the matter, that the election process in the USSA has become a sham.

So what are we going to do if indeed the election is fixed -- again? Protest in the streets and risk being jailed as terrorists?

"Each person for themselves."

I kind of like what Ron Paul says, and I thought he was impressive during the Beck interview.  I'm strongly considering supporting him.  However, I'd heard reports that many of his supporters are, well, a little kooky.  So, when I saw the link to this story, I thought I'd check it out.  Sure enough, we see the "voting machine" conspiracy crazies, and the "subliminal message" crazies.  I suppose that's to be expected in response to an article like this.  (Most of them can't spell, which is a pretty good sign of their wackiness.)  But, most of the comments are pretty damn sane.  It was a good interview in which I felt as if Paul had convinced Beck that he was a serious candidate. It certainly convinced me.  Beck gave Paul a great chance, and he seized it I think, to dispel the myth that Paul's views are out in the fringe of reasonability.  In fact, they're not.  Paul really needs more interviews like this to start bumping up in the polls.  I think his ranking in Iowa, up to 9%, is at least in part the result of Beck's interview.

FYI, the scrolling news at the bottom of the screen is not put there by the show. It's a live feed put there by CNN. And if you looked at the same scrolling news during the 7pm, 9pm or 12am re-broadcasts you would see something different because the news would be different.

In other words: coicidence. And the nutter who thinks he's being programmed with "trance generating loops" is hilarious, but in a creepy way.
