Truth Inc. Are we all really ready to fix the problems of society by recognizing the true from the false?by Darwyn

We have all entered into a period in time whereas we can be part of the solution, or part of the problems that are vexing our society. Are we ready to embrace the truth of the Time and take the appropriate steps necessary to fix self then others, or are we just among the many who are always looking for someone else to blame, rather than taking the time for self-examination.
History is said to be the best to reward our research, for it provides us with not only the problems that others faced before us, but also the good and the not-so-good in human behavior that led to the fall and rise of past civilizations that were faced with the decision to change or face demise.
Arrogance, false-pride and overall haughtiness were the main reasons behind the fall of ancient Babylon and Rome. Self-delusion as to the superiority of one set of people to another became the reckless behavior that clouded sound decisons by those in positions of authority. Inevitably these lessons of the past are the same lessons that we all must overcome to certain degrees today, lest we also go the way of those before us.
Time dictates that we face the challenges before us, or suffer self destruction much like other civilizations before us

Nope, 'fraid not. We have no choice but to continue living in a world where one man's Truth is another man's folly.
Nothing like fostering some arrogance to be raised from a relatively unknown politician to the most powerful man on the planet in the span of a few months, huh?
The fall of Rome was caused by economics not by character flaws that such economics made possible then and now.
Check out the book, Empire of Debt, to understand how the economics of today mirror and amplify the economics of the ancient empires. Not just Rome, dozens of them followed the same path to oblivion. We're near the end of that same path today.

I tend to agree that our society is not ready to face the truth and stop hanging on the false. If we were serious about facing the truth, our top priority would be ending the Federal Reserve System, which sucks trillions of dollars out of the hands of innocent people here in this country and around the world, thereby creating unnecessary economic issues of all kinds. Instead, our leaders focus on bailing out those who engaged in foolish business practices. No, we're apparently not interested in facing the truth.
We will face the challenges before us, as we have little choice. If facing the truth is on the fare, I'd agree we are not ready.
People are beginning to get a sense that things are different this time, but not ready to correct the terminal problems. Not ready to view the world as it really works.
