ZHARKI, PAKISTAN - Barack Obama bloodied his hands for the first time as America's Commander-in-Chief, ordering the destruction of several homes in a small village in Pakistan. At least 18 were killed and two homes destroyed by unmanned Predator drones per the UK Guardian. CNN reported on it in a 2-minute video clip here. (quote from my.barackobama.com)

In a scant four days as President, I fail to recall any public attempt by Obama to reach out to the Pakistani government and discuss this before attacking its sovereign soil. Similar to his predecessor Bush, the Barackcuda just went into this country with his guns blazing. I remain curious to see if we will hear about the deaths of any "high-level terrorist targets." Perhaps we killed Osama, as we continue our eight-year child's game of "Where's Waldo?" Although it is sacrilegious, some commentators are even claiming that Al-Qaeda does not exist. Their evidence? Just well-documented interviews with a key Oh-Bomb-Ah foreign policy advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and footage of him extolling a bunch of muhajideen to fight for their god before the Soviets even invaded Afghanistan. However, Obama did promise this to the American people for quite some time, so this is yet another "Change" he is executing. His ignorance in foreign affairs will no doubt be cured by Hillary Clinton, our shiny new Secretary of State whom I welcomed here "Words of Advice for the next Secretary of State".
So once again, we must ask the question. What are we doing over there? Is it a "police action"? Clintonesque "nation-building" like Somalia and Yugoslavia? Or Bush-style "nation-building"? Are we at war? Well, with military forces occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, continued attacks on the sovereign nations of Afghanistan and Syria, and a full blockage on Iran, it is quite clear to me that the United States remains at war against "Terror" (whatever the heck that means.) Now we hit upon a small detail.
Even though he swore the oath twice, Barack Obama is in violation of the Constitution of the United States of America, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 which states that only Congress can declare War. Only because it takes only a few seconds (they don't listen and have never replied to hundreds of my emails, even those that are not on such sensitive issues), I fired off a note to my representatives in Congress via DownsizeDC to move for the impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama. Yes, attacking the "tribal areas" in Pakistan is a little complicated as I wrote in July. Yes, he made a decent first step with his decision to close Gitmo within a year, and yes, I am a little quick with the trigger, but please forgive me - executing war is a very serious matter, especially if you are getting shot at. And I have very little patience left after King George II's reign. Plus, Obama has forgotten the Keys of Kidwai.
As this NY Times article relates, an old British fort stands on the outskirts of the Islamabad airport. Inside, General Khalid Kidwai protects quite possibly the earth's riskiest nuclear arsenal (can't forget Israel's!) from Islamic militants, terrorist scientists, Indian saboteurs, American commando teams, and those pesky sleeper agents. Kidwai, son of an author and schoolteacher, captured POW by India for two years, has not only the nuclear keys, but quite possibly the lives of an American city or two is in his hands.
Those Americans who lambaste the nuclear security of Pakistan should be careful they do not break any glass walls with their sticks; in 2007, I remind you, a B-52 bomber unknowingly flew for three hours from North Dakota to Louisiana while armed with six live nuclear warheads.
Oops, watch out, our wise, all-powerful government is on the job here!

This was reported in US media sources before 2PM on the day that it happened in spite of your claim otherwise. Â Also, it is known that the Secretary of State spoke with the Pakistani President before the attacks. Â The conversation was not disclosed, but they did discuss the need to fight militants in the tribal areas such as the areas attacked on Friday. Â It is believed that one of al Qaeda's "top 20" leaders was killed in the attacks.
I agree that we need a change to our foreign policy, however you are misinforming people on a number of accounts including the suggestion that war has been declared. Â The areas where militants are entrenched are Pakistani by title, but are out of control of the Pakistani government and are acting as a staging ground for attacks on an area under US protection. Â It is within our right to respond to those militants with force, and the Pakistani government has enebled this action because they do not have the means to control those areas themselves. Â It is mutually benificial, but their politicians are also trying to save face for the populus by talking tough. Â Be careful what you write as fact without first doing at least some preliminary research.Â

Thanks! The google news search results look completely different now - I wrote this article close to 20 hours ago so I may have found just the first reports. I still didn't see anything about SecState talking with the Pakistani president - as a matter of fact it seems to be that the US is not acknowledging we did the attack.
I also don't see anything about a top 20 AlQaeda leader dead, if anyone has a link please share it.
Actually on the tribal areas I have already written a lot in July- I don't mean to misinform so below is a link. At the end of the day, its just an excuse.

The point to be taken from Jake's article is that Obama ordered the extrajudicial killing of villagers in the Tribal Areas. Whether Musharaff gave the nod to proceed or whether Google news was late to the party is irrelevant. This is continuity, not change. Brezinski's Grand Chessboard is back in play, the baton has been passed to Obama. American troops invaded Afghanistan in 2001 with defined objectives:
Remove the Taleban because they would not play ball with Unocal in building the Trans Afghan Oil Pipeline.
Kick the Opium trade back in to action as the Taleban had succeeded in eradicating it almost completely which represented billions of dollars flowing through Wall St..
Install Karzai to oversee the Imperial dictates
Use Afghanistan as a pivot for the eventual control of the Eurasian landmass, - referred to by Brezinski as "The Prize" - including the resources of the Caspian Sea.
There has been plenty of us that could see this coming and we wrote about it months before the inauguration. Nobody would believe as they were transfixed in front of the New Messiah. The inauguration is over; his past record and his actions since last Tuesday are fully in the public arena for all to see, if only they would see.
Watch closely and objectively as the next few months unfold.
beautifully posted Andrew. After reading the Brzezinski's The Grand Chessboard 11 years ago (after an attempt at a public forum of truth in Israel which had me at odds with the israeli govt and their globalist handlers), I began to read much of what these people had to say themselves. but your post is dead on. but don't forget that once that war started in Afghanistan years ago, *WE* removed the taliban leaders and took over control over the area.
