The Hillary We Already Know Senator Clinton has a new website dedicated to making her look more human. It's sad that she has to prove that. I don't want to like politicians. I want to know what they will do.by DigitalBob

A few years ago, I stopped in a Waffle House in Arizona. I wanted scrambled eggs and salsa. I overheard the cook talking to the waitress. He told her jail was no fun. He said every day that he can breathe fresh air was a gift from God. He made a mean dish of huevos racheros. Pass the pepper sauce. I probably won't invite him over for Christmas or hire him as a baby sitter. However, I'll try to go back there the next time I have business in Phoenix.
I have similar expectations for our politicians. I hope that they're good people. I can never be sure. When I'm evaluating them, I expect, at a minimum, that their mothers will endorse them. It's nice that they don't have a criminal record. I hope they were in the drama club and participated in the young Democrats/Republicans/Anarchists/Whatever club. I'm sure they did some wonderful pro bono work at their law firm. I want them to cast their votes, and then go away.
So when I came across Senator Clinton's new website "The Hillary I Know (dot com)" http://www.thehillaryiknow.com, I almost said out loud, "what kind of tripe is this?" It has over 50 video testimonials of why you should like her. As painful as it was, I viewed a couple of them for you.
Her speech writer was pregnant during her interview. Apparently Hillary stepped in during a staffing discussion to demand the best speechwriter, regardless how many children she had. It was Hillary's staff that questioned the writer's job because of her pregnancy. It would have looked bad on Hillary if that was the reason the writer didn't get the job. That wasn't compassion, that was a political calculation. She didn't want that decision by her staff to bite her later. Her staff needs control sometimes, vis-à-vis Bill Shaheen.
A mother has a child with hydrocephalus. Hillary held the woman's hand and followed up with specialists personally. And now she makes a complimentary video. Being cynical, I would call that "political currency". I would expect a first lady to visit hospitals and the needy. That's why people liked Princess Diana. I expect a President to delegate.
A Navy vet didn't get the healthcare he needed, so Senator Clinton advocated on his behalf. What would have been more interesting is why our veterans are so screwed when they get back here, and why so many of them are injured? Could it be that nasty war she voted for? When did our veterans health care start to fall apart? It was during the last two administrations. Senator Clinton has actually worked on restoring veterans' medical benefits and petitioned fully funding veterans health care. That would make a great video. She needs all the pro-military votes she can get.
An elderly couple wanted to get married, but couldn't because the lady would lose her surviving spouse veteran's benefits. The Senator got them a waiver or something. Then they said how wonderful that she took them in her arms. I guess they would be just as happy with a hug, if they didn't get that monthly check from the VA. I'd rather have the check.
Hillary's mother says she had leadership qualities as a little girl. "President is a very difficult job.... I would vote for Hillary, even if she weren't my daughter." How can I criticize such a nice lady?
A boy needed a bone marrow transplant. The costs of the operation were over $400,000. Both parents worked as nurses, so they couldn't afford it. Senator Clinton made some calls and the hospital had to absorb the cost. I'd love to hear the other half of the story. Which insurance company got screwed or what philanthropic group stepped up to pay the bill? But you don't get that. Instead you get a picture that Hillary has God's ear to answer prayers. I don't think Hillary paid the bills herself. She only made $350,000 on book royalties in 2006 from Living History.
You also got videos from her interior decorator, next door neighbors, church people, General Wesley Clark, and other political friends.
Several of the videos show what a compassionate person she is. Mostly the issues are healthcare, education, and children. It's all very touchy-feely. Her accomplishments are running around and getting people benefits. Being a wife and mother seems to be a good thing. She can throw a baseball.
After watching about a dozen of these, I got this urge to watch an hour of the Military Channel and drink a can of Stroh's. Ooh-rah!
But my favorite videos aren't so complimentary. If you have the time, click on the links below.
Peter Paul, business partner of Spiderman's inventor Stan Lee, raised plenty of money for Hillary, but got jail time in Brazil instead of a thank you card. Here's his YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq8aopATYyw
Senator Edwards' campaign put out a video which saw the same thing I did during the debates. Clinton has this burning desire give the right answer on social security, Iraq, and immigration-- even if that means giving both answers. Not only does her Iraq policy not make sense when she says it out loud, it doesn't make when I read it on her website! Regarding new tensions with Iran, she had the audacity to laugh off one of the best debate speeches by Mike Gravel.
In fact, she's really good at laughing for a whole week.
I don't think this was the "conversation" she was hoping for when she started her campaign. She didn't quite make it to my living room. She gets real tired.
If she's looking for an appointment in Obama's or Edward's cabinet for Health and Human Services, these videos at her new website would serve as positive character references.

I followed the the Clinton administration very closely and these are things which I can't prove but strongley suspect about Hillary:
[1] When the "Waterwater Mess" was going on and Vince Foster [her former lover and partner at their law firm] was on the verge of spilling the beans, she had him killed.
[2] At Waco the fire and death of over 70 of the Branch Dividians was ordered by her via Janet Reno to cover up what had gone on prior to that:
(a) Military helicopter gun-ships straffed the "compound" and killed about 5 people the first day when the BATF raided them.
(b) A covert military attack on the "bunker" inside the church which was used for storage and for tornado protection a few days before the end killed all the women and childern who were hiding inside. This was in a Texas Ranger report made afterwards. They described the use of high explosives to penetrate the concrete roof caused ALL of the women and childern to be turned into jelly immediately.
I could go on-and-on but this women is much worse than GWB and has no scruples whatsoever.
