The Religion and Tactics of the Barbarians Are NOT the Reason We Kill Them The end-game war of Empires is always against the same enemy...the barbarians. You know, the backwards, fanatical people who breed rapidly and exist only to kill good citizens of the Empire or their vassal states.by Jahfre Fire Eater

"Islamo-fascist" terrorist is a demonizing label applied by the fear-mongering warlords in every party. This label is aimed at otherwise peace-loving Christians; intended to get them foaming at the mouth and willing to endorse every imaginable atrocity. And some people think the Bush administration didn't do anything well...
Prior to the end-game wars, Empires clash against real contenders. Once an Empire emerges from the ranks of contenders as a dominant force, it can keep the former contenders at bay by leveraging their own fears and ambitions. But a war is still necessary to the Empire. Even though war is no longer necessary for conquest, it is absolutely vital to the Empire's finances. In the end-game wars the objective is purely economic, tactically and purely political, strategically; conquest isn't even a consideration. So...turn to the barbarians. Their very nature and location can absorb a vast amount of the Empire's "productivity".
In the early days, a fledgling empire's productivity is used to improve quality of life for those in the homeland, eventually leading to bread and bloody circuses. Distractions and pabulum become the motivation for the behavior of the population in the homeland. The war against the barbarians is necessary to protect the vapid voter's way of life and standard of living and to provide life-support for failed economic and socio-political theories by allowing them the comfort and luxury of being promoted with religious behavior and strictures in the name of public education and media messaging. Fear of a diminished lifestyle becomes the motivation rather than fear of conquest, rape and pillage. The liberals become downright religious-conservative in their fervor to eliminate those who do not think the way they do. (That they are entitled to maintain their current lifestyle at the expense of others is the core of the rationale for systems of elitism represented by socialist, fascist and statist theories and practices.)
Until that day comes, as it does for every empire, where the war becomes a strain, then a drain, then a cruel, mindless parasite on the way of life its productivity originally protected. That is the day the war can no longer be successfully sustained and those barbarians come anyway. Unless, maybe this time, the forces of good can exterminate the barbarians and life will be grand for eternity...but I'm not counting on that.
Who has the vested interest in promoting healthy lawns? The lawn mower salesman! The Empire's war machine requires a constant supply of fresh, healthy barbarians to mow down despite the desires of the blood thirsty religious fanatics who finance, drive and maintain the machinery.

Holy cow, Batman! This guy can really string together some slanders! He goes after just about EVERYBODY in this article! (Except Libertarians, I'm sure, although they aren't really mentioned by name.)
That part about "the liberals become downright religious-conservative in their fervor to eliminate those who do not think the way they do" was PRICELESS! Although, he doesn't seem to realize that liberals (and many others, I'm sure) don't even really think about him AT ALL or his trashy diatribes. He is as harmless and irrelevant as last week's newspaper.
So, bang the drum loudly, Mr. Fire Eater. Those of us whom you rail against think it's good therapy for that hateful, bitter, tyrannical temper of yours. After a tantrum like that, I hope you feel better now.
