A conservative like me A brief introduction of a social conservative/fiscal libertarian's view of life.by Vox Populi...Sometimes

Thanks to Jake, the Champion of the Constitution and NolanChart.com, I have been motivated to write my own personal opinions about life, politics, love, politics, war, and politics. I make no pretentious claim that my articles will either enlighten you or amuse you. Quite frankly I hope that smoke pours out of your various orifices before you realize that I may have a point (however poorly stated you may find it).
When I meet the emo tofu crunchers at the local coffee place I usually introduce myself in this fashion," Hi, my name is Matt, you will die, I will die a Marine." I am proud of the fact that I served in the Marines. I usually parse the world along those lines. I am quick (mentally) and aggressive by nature and show little mercy to those too arrogant about life; those that believe they are entitled to an easy existence.
I am one of those ridiculous people that love cats. I want to have about fifteen of them by the time I am fifty, which age I am now closer to than I am to 20. Cats are superior beings to us lowly mortals. You see dogs are complicated. One needs a "Dog Whisperer" or some silly such nonsense. Cats need none of this. We just need to remember that we exist at their suffrage.
I am wickedly conservative on many issues. I am pro-life/anti-abortion and I do believe that there should be laws that either end the practice or severely restrict it. Human life begins at conception. The IDIOTIC argument that a fetus is an unrecognizable blob of cells and therefore less deserving of life is asinine, and is based on a society that values convenience over ethics. A fetus is a human at a stage of development much as a toddler to a child, child to teenager etc etc. The argument of the death cultist's is tired and false.
I am against gay marriage. A family is an institution that is ideally one man, one woman, and progeny. The want, by some deviant sectors of this society, for gay marriage and gay "rights" is an insult to those that fought for the right of mixed race, heterosexual couples to marry and to the civil rights movement as a whole. The promotion of gay marriage is quite frankly the dream of deconstructionists that want to sunder a functional society and replace it with a vague hip thrust towards a parody of society and desire for institutionalized debauchery; i.e. a typical member of Congress on a weekend getaway codified into law.
As I stated, this is just a brief introduction of me to the world. I hope to produce at least one article a week, but if I don't I am probably eating nachos.

Hi Vox Populi,
Welcome and thanks for the introduction. I know you. All of the GOP events and meetings I attend are full of you. I'm working to diminsh their influence on our government.
In your brief introduction you have described yourself as an enemy of individual liberty, an enemy of limited government, an enemy of the rule of law, an enemy of free enterprise and one who would remove the means for other individuals to defend these things. Thes things are collectively known as the Conservative High-5.
You can find out more about these 5 conservative principles at www.alphavilledecoder.org.
No smoke from my orifices. :-) Just an acknowledgement of a difference in principles. Life goes on. The defense of liberty is a life-long struggle against those who shaped your might-makes-right thinking.
As a Libertarian I openly dispise Social Conservativism along with Fiscal Liberalism but if your open to debate I will ask you this;
How does two men or two women marrying have any affect on your 1.Economic Liberties and 2. Your personal liberties.
If you could answer without using the following: 1. Communist/Socialist/Liberal, 2. Religion Hater, 3. Pervert, and any other flaming rethoric the Religious Right has used in order to "argue" against supporters of gay marriage.

Thank you all for responding to my article.
I think that this is the only place that I can answer some of the questions posited by the detractors of this article. If ya'll can help on the techie side I would appreciate.
LibertarianBlue: I did not state that I am a Fiscal Liberal, but consider myself a fiscal libertarian. Now to the good questions you asked:
1) Economic Liberties: Since you have requested that morals or the practice of one's socio-religious obligations not be brought up in an answer I shall use crass economic considerations.
Under the Great Ponzi Scheme's known as Medicare, Medicaid, WIC, Social Security, my labor will be taxed more because there will be more hands in the till, more obligations to be met, etc. I consider those programs an assault on my econimic liberty.
2) My response without using supposed "backwards thinking religion" or "shot gun politics" about gay marrige .
In countries such as Canada, members of religious orders that preach against homosexual unions can be arrested. If homosexual marrige is passed will such Constitution destroying laws be placed in the United States? Remember the statist "hatecrime" legislation? The potential for my personal liberties to be violated are real and in practice in many such "democracies". If the United States can flout many parts of the Bill of Rights, why can't they violate the First Amendment.
Um Jafre...
Actually you don't know me. If you did you would know that I am no longer a member of the GOP and have not been for some time.
An enemy of "In your brief introduction you have described yourself as an enemy of individual liberty, an enemy of limited government, an enemy of the rule of law, an enemy of free enterprise and one who would remove the means for other individuals to defend these things. Thes things are collectively known as the Conservative High-5. "
Actually I have no idea what the heck that was about but whatever.
I haven't written enough for you to make a mature opinion .Are you saying that those without your moral blessing have no place in the voice of the USA? How very LIBERTARIAN of you.
And if I am an enemy...do I have to go to Bush/Obama Gitmo Paradise for re-education to your sanctified ideology?
Matt - Thanks for your military service to our country!
You're also dead on with the abortion and marriage debate. People have no clue that the health of a representative government depends on the moral clarity of its people. We sit here watching our nation's culture degrade more and more. Even now we can see the US turning into a socialist/communist government as it nationalizes financial institutions - and we wonder how it could have come to this? A new dictatorship is looming.
While I agree that arresting opposers of gay marriage is terrible and hope that, whenever states would legalize gay marriage, they wouldn't harm people's rights to free speech... it's as much of a reason to oppose allowing gays to marry without the meaningless opinion of the government - which should have no say in how people live their lives unless violence is involved - as hate-crime legislation is a reason to be racist!
Ok, I didnt call you a fiscal liberal I just said that I openly despise them alongside social conservatives.
You bring up social security, Medicare, Medicaid, WIC. These programs I fully disagree with but what does this have to do with gay marriage? Its very dishonest if your trying to make a connection between these social programs and gay marriage.
You also bring up hate crime laws and bring up Canada as an example. Again this is Canada, NOT America. No such law would be passed, not even with the current Washington makeup. I fully support churches refusing to not marry gay and lesbian couples because churches, mosques and synogauges are private organizations. The only organization that cant turn a couple away is a Judge who is a civil servert of the people.
Death benifits under social security do go to surviving members of a family...hence gay marrige...survivors pensions and insurance and social security etc etc etc.
Hello hate crimes legislation under the Clintons. Tell me it can't be made more intrusive.
