Government Ban on Government The state wants to ban things much less dangerous than itself. Let's use government to ban the government. instead. by Dan Steward

Would you like to know the latest thing that the Commonwealth (as in: it's quite common for them to steal your wealth) of Kentucky seeks to ban? Personal nuclear devices? Nope, mission already accomplished. Letting snakes loose on a plane? They've probably been there and likewise, done that.
It must be something much more sinister and vexatious to the core of our very souls. Kentucky's excuse for "lawmakers" want to wipe this thing out of existence, for crying out loud! It must be a device that summons demons out of fat air to plague us all, busts up labor unions, causes spontaneous "wardrobe malfunctions" during television broadcasts of sporting events, and causing cats to start barking. If it is that wicked just by existing, it must be absolutely horrible if it is to be banned outright!
It's the novelty lighter and I shineola you not. Lift up a rock and out from under it slithers forth a not so well intentioned, do-badder, poorly disguised as a do-gooder. This person would like to use the force and implied violence of an already bloated busy-body government, to rid us of the latest "threat" to our lives. Watch out for this foul joker as he is as persistent as he is stupid and will not easily cease when politely asked to instead go and soak his fat head.
The goofy claim is that adults as well as children can not tell the difference between lighters shaped as toys and actual toys. I suppose it never occurred to them that if you open up this lighter, use it to burn your house down, or better yet, light up a smoke, that gee whiz and a side order of golly gosh! You got a lighter in your hand. Imagine that? How do you even start to legislate against fence post stupid?
It is now well past the time for us to ban the real threat to our lives, government in it's many forms and complications. Is Ron Paul busy right now? If not, I'd really like to see him introduce HB 7 3/4. A bill banning dangerous and wasteful government on every absurd level it pesters folks on. Sell off the government buildings and vehicles. Burn all the files, state paperwork, and any bills to the taxpayer. Release the hounds!
I'll be very happy to bring along my novelty lighter, to spark the kindling.
With Liberty,
Dan Steward
