Like it, lump it, ignore it, yet the truth remains. The capitalist is your friend, not your oppressor. by Dan Steward

There are two things I can count on regarding your garden variety liberal. First, that they are wrong concerning just about everything they tend to have an opinion about. Second, when you are a voluntaryist (okay, anarchist) author, and hit a speedbump (okay, a brick wall), when it comes to something handy to write about and ...woo hoo! You get yourself a subject, bless them one and all.
Before I go further in this article, I should pause to thank those clueless about what capitalism is about. Without those fine folk I'd possibly be looking for a follow up column to go with my parking meter gig.
The liberal outright ignores the contributions of the capitalist, desperately attempting to link him with some evil cartoonish caricature of Snidely Whiplash, complete with a menacing handlebar mustache.
All of the contributions the men of the mind, the creators, those whose inventions have saved and improved our lives are forever in the liberal scheme, shamelessly minimized and outright ignored. Those great achievements been distilled, distorted and set aside
It is an absolutely fantastic thing that the true hero of our existence, does neither need nor want flowing accolades from welfare bums, ignoble professors, abject fools, or political hacks to achieve his great deeds.
It is pure goofy supposition and outright slander to even imply that a capitalist would be heartless, simply by virtue of creating wealth for himself and others. It is just plain mean to state that he would demand another person give him $50 for "a life vest or drown", as a columnist replied here recently on nolanchart.com, to another author's story.
I'm quite concerned as to just what keeps the artificially flavored "virtue" of the liberal afloat. Am I guaranteed 100% that he would not let me drown should I be in a similar situation and he hate lovers of capitalism to the extent that he would deem them unworthy to live?
If so, I'd like to flip this and ask just what makes him such a good guy without any proof. We all know that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
What's this guy got to bring to the table besides a bogus claim on my life and the opportunity to make me miserable in repayment for the contributions to the betterment of his?

Dan Steward
