Obama: the Black Forrest Gump Why do I have a feeling we elected Forrest Gumpby Joe W.

Well, my title isn't exactly true and is insulting; Forrest Gump is much smarter then Obama.
First off, why in hell would anyone appoint Leon Panetta to be CIA Director? He's a politician and a policy wonk. His resume says "make me Commerce Secretary." Worse yet, Diane Feinstein even criticizes the pick because he lacks intelligence credentials. When you have a hardcore liberal from your own party criticizing a pick for not being qualified, that should tell someone that something is wrong.
Then it was leaked that he offered Sanjay Gupta the spot of Surgeon General... WHY? I can understand a University academic, or a respected doctor from one of America's best hospitals. Seriously, why would anyone appoint CNN's alarmist medical correspondent. Is Obama solely appointing this guy because he saw him on TV?
Then Obama created the post of Chief Performance Officer. The CPO's sole job is to cut programs and fight congressional earmarks. Excuse me, but the last time I checked it's the President who should advocate that. Obama has the veto, he and he alone has to make the decision. Seriously, is Obama either too chicken or too stupid to make his own decision on either of those matters?
Finally, Obama admits that there will be deficit spending for many years, even with the stimulus package. Why in hell did America elect this guy? Deficit spending for many years... then why isn't Obama's team planning a long term fiscal plan instead of a short term quick fix!!! America needs a real solution.
People, wake up and smell the roses, McCain was right: Obama's policies and judgement are going to hurt America.
THROW THE BUM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, Feinstein is not a Democrat, and nowhere near a hardcore liberal. She is a Federalist if anything.
Second, I agree with the Sanjay appointment. It's an utter disgrace, but that is what this society and culture, if you can call it that, loves. They love the hollywood types and "reality show" politicians. Why do you think Sarah Palin was vetted?
Thirdly, I agree with your Obama statement about the budget. Amerikans are heroin addicts and to think that more debt is going to solve debt problems is irresponsible. What do you give a person in $15k debt? NOT ANOTHER CREDIT CARD!
I agree this will be interesting times. More of the same, and change you cannot believe in.
The only idea that really came across in this article, is that despite the fact that we may have survived [and the jury is still out on that one] the worst administration in history, you seem to want to immediately return to the neo-conservative corporate welfare warfare system rather than the coming corporate labor welfare system. It is impossible to make a fair assessment of change coming from your viewpoint.
