Why Sarah Palin?

What's with the media and there creepy obsession with Sarah Palin

Since Jon McCain first appointed her to be his running-mate the media has gone goo-goo over Palin, but why? Granted, she has personality and is arguable a good spokesperson to reach out to new voters, but I do have a few issues with her. She seems a bit phony and no real leadership abilities. And to be honest, that's what should be expected. She was just elected in 2006 and not in office long enough to be considered a potential leader in the GOP, let alone a 2012 contender for the nomination. If she wins re-election by a large margin and shows real fundraising and campaign abilities in 2010, then I will take a second look at Caribou Barbie. Until then I think the next leader in the GOP is someone out of right field, namely Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. I think Bachmann will be a prominent leader in the GOP and she should be considered a contender for a Senate seat or other high office. Let us also not forget Charlie Crist of Florida, the future Presidential nominee. His record is perfect and will make him formidable in both primaries and the general election, not to mention movie star looks and a playboy charm. But again, why is Palin getting the attention these individuals should have? Is it a left wing conspiracy to make the Republicans back a loser?  Anyway, that's just my point of view.

And why are you publishing this NOW and not two or three months ago??? As I see it, McCain threw away the election the moment he accepted Palin as his running mate. It energized the ultra Conservative base of the Republicans, but it alienated most of the moderates, the people that a party is supposed to attract the most in order to win an election!

And don't remind me of Rep. Bachmann, who lied about Obama on national television by painting him as "anti-American". She may have won the election, but she may soon wish she hadn't when she gets busted by the Dems in Congress every time she turns around.....as she so richly deserves!

REPUBLICANS, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!

Besides, I'd think you'd want the Reps crash and burn completely and the Libertarian Party take their place as the Democrats' main competition. Why not?
