How to End a Recession? Give $197,000,000 to Mexico, of Course.

Bill Clinton was right, "It's time for them to go." I mean the whole bleeping government.

The Politicians controlling the United States of America gave $197 Million Dollars earned by and taken from taxpayers to Mexico. Why? To help the country fight its war on drugs.

I'm not going to go into a rant about the pointlessness of the war on drugs, but I would like to ask you to consider a few questions:

1. How do we know when we've actually "won" the War on Drugs?

2. Did you know that our current President-elect used drugs recreationally? He didn't die, but if he'd been caught he wouldn't be President. Think about that one.

3. If the government can't think of anything better to do than give a foreign country money to fight a war that wouldn't exist had it not been created by the government itself, I'm sure there are many households across the U.S. that could use a sum larger than a huge powerball jackpot. Christmas is around the corner.

Don't forget:

Santa is real.

And the government can solve all your problems. And even those of other countries as well.

All it takes is money and steadfast belief in absurdity to make these two statements reconcile with reality.

Dear John,

It isn't necessary to "win" the war on anything ~ only to fight it.

By fighting a war on whatever (drugs, cancer, AIDS, drunk driving, terrorism), it gives POLITICIANS something they can point to as an effort to stop it, it gives CONTRACTORS something to get paid for, it gives CONSTITUENTS something they can use to get favors for, it gives the MEDIA something they can write and report about, it gives RESEARCHERS something to investigate and get grants for, it gives AUTHORS something to write books about, it gives PUBLIC SPEAKERS and TEACHERS something to become "experts" in, it gives reasons to hold CONFERENCES, SEMINARS, and STRATEGY SESSIONS, it provides JUSTIFICATION for extreme and often pointless expenditures on interventions, it allows COLLABORATION with foreign governments and other concerned groups ~ and the bill is always passed on to TAXPAYERS.

A better question is: Who's really going to WIN them ~ those who are the victims, or those who participate in the endless fight?
