Nolan Chart Website Connection Bottlenecks Our traffic is way up, and it's impacting our website speed and accessibility. This article outlines immediate plans to deal with the problems.by Walt Thiessen

Many of you are now seeing slow response times on the website. This is an unfortunate side effect of our tremendous success. For December we're on track for over 100,000 unique visitors. While the growth is tremendously exciting, we're already maxxing out our current hosting package.
This is why you are sometimes having trouble getting to the website or seeing certain articles or web pages on the website. We're experiencing some huge concurrent connection problems, particularly to the database. And most of the website is driven by the database!
I'm currently (today) researching some upgrade solutions that I'm hoping will address these issues. While I don't have specific news yet on what we're going to do, rest assured that we're going to get this issue squared away. If we find that we'll need to bring the website down for an hour or so in order to transfer it to a new server, we'll put up a web page that explains what is happening and invites you to check back with us in a little while.
Please bear with us as we deal with our growing pains. If we've gotta have growing pains, they might as well be because we're so popular! That's the good side of the story.
Thank you for your support.
