When Will People Wake-Up?

To be free, you must understand that you are being enslaved. Together we can break the chains of oppressive government.

Do people understand our system of government? I ask myself this question all the time. And more often than not, the answer is "NO".

I mentioned to a co-worker of mine that a man was arrested for 30 days for taking 6 seconds to sit down in court. His reply was, "Don't piss off the Judge; the Judge is the law, they can arrest you for contempt for any reason, no one can check them!" To which I replied "That's the problem."

Judges believe they are the law.

I challenge anyone to show me a law that requires me to take less than 6 seconds to sit down in court.

I challenge anyone to show me where the Constitution validly gives Congress the authority to tax my personal income as if every penny were profit.

I challenge anyone to show me where the Constitution validly gives Congress the authority to give stolen (tax) money to private businesses.

I can, however, show that 56.14% of Federal Government spending is unconstitutional (page 22 of [link edited for length] )

I can show that we have a right to be free from oppressive government:

"When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government"

These words are not from an archaic book about self-government, these words are not from some "radical fringe group" that wishes to overthrow the government. No, these words come from arguably the greatest document ever written; "The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America".

I, and so many others like me, believe that ALL men are and of right out to be free and sovereign people.

I do not need a government to keep me from harming my neighbor; I only need the understanding that I do not have the right to initiate force against him.

The sooner people realize that our government is crossing the line and not playing by the rules (the Constitution), the sooner we the people will demand a change. My only fear is that people may demand a change towards slavery and oppression, instead of towards LIBERTY & JUSTICE!

Boy, oh boy, Darryl, you really struck a blow for LIBERTY with THAT harangue!  I'll bet EVERYONE in Washington, D.C. is quivering in their boots!  Oh no!  They know that we're NOT following the Constitution.  Oh no!  They know that we're usurping everyone's rights.  Oh no!  They're quoting from the Preamble to the Constitution!  Oh no!  They found out that 56.14% of Federal spending is unconstitutional! 

Phew!  I'm sure glad that YOU'VE got the nerve to stand up to "them".  I'm sure that SOMETHING will be done NOW!  Ha!  Ha!  Ha!

Just to offer a bit of advice ~ they say that getting all worked up over things that you CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT causes the kind of stress and helpless feeling that causes early heart attacks.  Know anyone who might benefit from RELAXING A LITTLE?

Hello again Master C,

I see you are still posting your usual drivel. Darryl is making a valid point with history, law and reason to back him up and you are just being your usual unpleasant, taunting, trouble-making self. This country is on the path to fascism. We already are a police state. I now understand how it happened in Nazi Germany because I see it happening here and now, right in front of my eyes. It is because of people like you who refuse to see the reality that is staring them in the face as you remain in blissful ignorance, snickering and sneering at those who are trying to do something about it.

Thank you Darryl, for caring enough about our freedom and nation to write your article.

Shame on you, Master C, for your cheap and tawdry attempt to demean this lover of liberty and country!

I myself wish people that people would wake up. However, this article serves no purpose whatsoever. The typical sleeping American isn't going to wake up just by seeing this article.

It would be more productive to discuss ways to wake people up. This article doesn't do that. It would also more productive to talk about how we can use the current state of affairs to our advantage. Do we have to wake people up to get them to come to our side?

I just looked up the phrase "when will people wake up" in my handy Master C translation guide, and you know what it said:

... meaning: "I wish people believed the things I tell them and thought the way I do about issues that I care about, but they don't because my way of thinking is so WRONG, OUTDATED, SELFISH, ONE-SIDED, UNCOMPROMISING, UNDESIRABLE, has no COMPASSION, no CONTEMPORARY FOUNDATION, is ANTI-GOVERNMENT, ANTI-FIAT MONEY, ANTI-TOLERANCE for opposing views, and it even SMELLS BAD!"

Geeeez, sorry guys.  I guess I can see why nobody gets your views now except for that group of self-congratulating back slappers who think each other are GENIUSES!  Ha!  Ha!
