Something Unconstitutional This Way Comes
There are many closet South Park fans in our midst. I am one. I never really watch with others around because I just never know what may happen. My favorite episode is "Something Wall-mart This Way Comes". Let me summarize it if you have not seen it.
http://www.southparkzone.com/episode-vid-809.htm
A Wall-mart opens and people easily justify it for all the good things it brings. Dismayed over the decline of local stores after the Wal-mart opens, people begin to want to do something. They vow to boycott Wal-mart. They are going to quit shopping. Yet, when they feel no one else is looking, many sneak there to shop, sometimes after midnight. No one individual feels that they are the problem.
So the people are told they must find and destroy the "heart" of Wal-mart. "Destroy the heart and reverse the entire process"
We too have been living a political life much like the South Park episode. We have built something big and troubling and growing and it has been crushing the local and state governments that would have the most influence upon us.
We have taken the easiest route because they have promised us more and more while giving us less and less. What have we been using for currency? Our constitutional rights and freedoms.
If you have ever shopped at Wal-mart, and I am sure you have at least once, then you realize how difficult it is to say no to the low prices. Until you experience the lack of service, the long checkouts, and the over-utilized dirty stores. Only when you have had enough, will you go away.
In the South park episode, they do find the "heart" of Wal-mart. They see it in a mirror near the plasma tvs. That is what they must destroy.
Americans loved the liberal democracy once they realized all the great things it brings. Free education. Free Health care. Subsidized transportation. Subsidized housing. Cheap loans. The list is neverending. And it has the potential to grow, depending on who becomes our next president.
Yet no individual believes that they are problem. Are you part of the problem? Have you been part of the problem?
We are the "heart" of this country. We have been the problem. We are responsible, We must destroy it. We must destroy the idea that big government is the answer. It isn't
We must forego the easy solutions of giving the responsibility to the federal government, which has not worked at all. We need our state and local governments to believe that we want the job done right and we are willing to do it ourselves. We must stop sacrificing our freedom for convenience. We must stop sacrificing our sovereignty for international peace. We have made the sacrifices and gotten nothing in return but the very things we were trying to avoid.
There is only one candidate running for president that can help us make the changes needed so that we can destroy the heart of what has been ailing this nation. That candidate is Ron Paul. He does not want the easy course. He is not making promises to you that your grandchildren will have to pay for. It's time we as a people quit accepting offers for things that we also know our grandchildren will have to pay for.
If someone steals an item and we accept it from them, are we not as guilty as they are? It's time we quit accepting a stolen future in this country.
Let's kill the heart of a system that has failed us. Only we can do it. And only Ron Paul can lead us to face the truth, and then do something about it.
