Cutting Spending? II Are either of the candidates likely to do so? History says no. Their relative fragility says no.by Jack Galway

Ten o'clock Scholar: My best guest is Andrew Jackson first true democrat president who also had a balance budget and the only time in American history United States of America did not owe any money and he left office with a surplus. My next best guess was Herbert Hoover and his phrase was "good times are just around the corner!" :-[
Diogenes: Speak for yourself .. I've been arguing against deficit spending since the '60s
The argument was that eventually you would catch Hell for it .. those days are here ..
The most unbelievable part is that it will be kept up.
Jack Galway: Me too! Do you somehow believe we are in anything approaching a majority of likely voters? Seriously. We would be voices in the wilderness.
Viscount: Jack, you dont like mccains spending freeze idea, or you dont believe hm?
Jack Galway: Why would a sentient being believe either mccain or obama?
But to the point, someone has to feed the gaping maw, vee. mccain either feeds or gets eaten. We've already seen that he will cave to any group stronger than the U Georgia Basketball Hall of Fame Steering Committee.
Furthermore, spending freezes must thaw, and they only thaw after giving the dollar more time to devalue, and allowing prices to rise. If there were a single button to push, don't you believe that dubya would have pushed it by now?
Now, do I believe that either mccain or obama have a clue? If there were a single button to push, don't you believe that I would have pushed it by now?
First things first; whoever killed the gop (grand old parasites) and took its place has to be driven from the temple.
