Austin Petersen of the Manhattan Ron Paul Meetup Group recently received a phone call from the Libertarian Party headquarters in Washington, D.C. asking him to get 1,000 people on board nationwide to help Ron Paul's campaign by calling New Hampshire voters this Saturday. Participants need only a phone and broadband connection to participate.
The Libertarian Party has recently invited Ron Paul to be their nominee, but he has is intent on running as a Republican. In an undoubtedly unprecendented move, the LP thought they would put their phone bank resources to good use and support Dr. Paul anyway, even though he is running as a member of a rival party.Ron Paul's supporters (Republican and Libertarian alike, as well as any Ron Paul Democrats) can find out more information here.
Mr. Petersen has even made an instructional video for making the calls. With the blimp now off the ground, and this quarter's fundraising goals all but guaranteed this weekend, will Ron Paul's supporters show him a surprise and come through for him this weekend in the crucial state of New Hampshire? Methinks yes.

As a long-time Libertarian, I thank the Libertarian Party for understanding the need to support Ron Paul. It is inexplicable why so many within either the Republican or the Democratic Parties cannot grasp, or refuse to grasp, what Paul is attempting -- to actually restore our nation to its proper owners -- the American people. For several decades we have seen our ourselves held in hostage to foreign interests -- I'm a Korean vet -- why are our troops still in Korea? What is the reason for this? To tax young people to protect the Japanese? (check out your Sony or Toyota) or to protect the South Koreans? (check out your KIA) -- and I won't mention the mindless pouring of our blood and treasure into that Middle East religious cesspool -- why? To protect Israel? They have over 300 nukes! A big airforce, and a big army... ah, don't get me going! Ron Paul is, I think, our last hope.
