Election 2012- Part 2 - Year of Jubilee

Don't worry. It puts the Fed, the banksters and the IRS out of business and all we need is the consent of the governed to do it. Let's do it.

Will the architects of horror who now bring us the bankster bail out still be writing the headlines in 2010 and 2012? Not if this column prospers.

This column is about practical steps and political apparatus for a new Common Sense Party for American Renewal which will define America's destiny and populate her high offices with statesmen who are elected by a concerned and informed electorate and who therefore govern by the consent of the governed. But before getting down to the nuts and bolts, I want to draw a picture of the kind of government that is the goal of the enterprise because, like Yogi Berra says, "It's a good idea to know where you're going or else you might not get there." (Thanks Yogi.) Wouldn't you rather read and write headlines like this?

Year of Jubilee

New Administration Pays off National Debt

Yesterday, January 23rd in this year of our Lord 2012, will be remembered with the reverence and awe with which we remember July 4th of 1776 and the great days on which the guns were silenced in the stillness at Appomattox Courthouse and with the signing of the World War I Armistice at Compagne and with VE day and VJ day

At 9:00 AM sharp, as the first item of business on its first day of business, the new Common Sense Patty President and his cabinet received a congressional delegation in the Representative Republic Room (formerly known as the Roosevelt Room) of the White House. The congressmen presented the President with a ten page Omnibus Restoration Bill. The bill passes into law, the Common Sense Party's "Health of Nations Platform" which has been the subject of so much ink in this journal during the last five years. The Restoration Bill is blessedly brief and clearly written and is reprinted in its entirety on page two of this journal. For the first time since the New Deal, Americans can know the laws which they have consented to be governed by.

In addition to the Omnibus Bill, the congressional delegation delivered to the president the promissory note by which the burden of national debt is lifted from the shoulders of the American people. The note was written by the Secretary of the Treasury and will be presented by the Secretary to all parties claiming indebtedness of the American people to them. From this day foreword, the Secretary will present the note to parties claiming debt with new authority. The note is endorsed by every member of both the Senate and the House. Every American by now knows the words written on the note. We print them here not as news but as jubilee that we, the people of the United States of America have been delivered from bondage.

This note is tendered as payment in full of any and all claims against the assets of the people of the United State by the private corporation known as the Federal Reserve Bank and its affiliates and all other parties. It promises, in perpetuity, to pay all such claimed liens based on the credit of the people of the United States.

The Honorable (You write the ticket)
Secretary of the Treasury of the United States
January 21st- Anno Dominum 2012

========================

I am fully aware that the entrenched government controls elections, media, money, publishing, schools, banking, and commerce and so on and so on. I admit that it will take some doing to restore that control to the proper authority. But there is one area in which we can restore control to the proper authority immediately. When we define ourselves in reaction to their evil doings, they control what we think and write about.

Today we all write in outrage about their bankster bail out. (I'm only human. I do it too, but elsewhere.) Next week, however, this atrocity de jour will be a done deed like the so-called Patriot Act and the so-called Homeland Security Act and, note well, Lyndon Johnson's so-called Civil Rights Act. (They've all gotta go.) In short order the bank bail out will fester on the back burner of our considerations and we will exhaust ourselves writing in outrage about their next atrocity de jour. We should recall Einstein's definition of insanity. It is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Well they are not going to set the agenda for this column. Nolan Chart pegs me as a libertarian but I am something quite different than that. I'm a Ronald Regan Republican. I believe that America should and still can be, a shining city on hill, teaming with commerce and opportunity and loved, feared and respected around the world. I believe that if you get government off people's back that people can do great things and that government should only do for the people what the people cannot do for themselves. I am going to write about apparatus to get government off people's backs. I believe that invincible powers like the Soviet Union and banking cartels are straw men that collapse when the American people invest their confidence in leadership that stands up to bullies of either the foreign or domestic sort. This column is about restoring the American dream of a shining city on a hill. Go elsewhere for late breaking news about the other side's American nightmare.

To restore America we need to agree on a platform that defines a united front for Common Sense Party candidates. We need a party organization and apparatus. We need means to peaceably assemble and refine our shared ideals in the furnace of debate We need new mass communications facilities to appeal to the people in spite of media. We need election apparatus that gives a voice to the common sense majority. Nixon's landslide election victories and pre-Watergate popularity proved the existence of what he called the silent majority. Perhaps media destroyed his Presidency precisely to silence the majority. This media can do, but they cannot erase the common sense of the majority. That is God's gift to us. It is the sole source of legitimate authority in America and it is alive and well and ripe for harvest by statesmen who will listen to their countrymen.

It's a challenge to say the least and I admit there are days when H. L. Mencken's option is not lacking in appeal. "Every normal man", Mencken ruminates, "must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flags, and begin to slit throats." But the minute we do that we confess that American Constitutional democracy has failed and cannot solve our problems and then we have no more to offer than the other side.

So, while breath remains in my body, I will do all things in my power in prayer that my forbears who gave their last full measure of devotion shall not have died in vain and that government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth. So now let's get down to nuts and bolts. Next Sunday I present for your consideration, my draft of Article 2 of the Health of Nations Platform- the Financial Recovery Act. Don't worry. It puts the Fed, the banksters and the IRS out of business and all we need is the consent of the governed to do it. Let's do it.

Talk to yuh later.

PS: I'm grateful for the friendly comments which express willingness to at least hear my argument with an open mind.

Hey Larry!

I am a friendly guy with an open mind so I look forward to your articles with interest.  However, I can't promise friendly comments all the time.  That said, we certainly share the goal of a much brighter future for our country, so we are on the same team, esp. with regards to limited govt.

I'd like to zero in on your phrase that  "I believe that America should and still can be... feared and respected around the world"

Well I thought we were the ones who were scared, who live under red, green, orange, yellow terror alerts from Homeland Security.  Every shoe is checked before boarding a plan, every water bottle confiscated. We were so scared we sent our armies of hundreds of thousands of men and women overseas to pursue for 7 years what used to be a ragtag group of terrorists right?   What does it say about their desire for freedom when we still have to fight on? That is what they are fighting for, when you boil it down - their version of freedom (and just in case you mistake me,  I dont agree with actual terrorists version of freedom, like I said I am a friendly guy)

However, I do grant you that we are still feared all over the world because of our military.  Nothing like the barrel of a gun to spread our authoritarian version of democracy,  to steal and secure the black gold of the Middle East, to bring death, destruction and torture to millions.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, take your pick), we are almost bankrupt.   I do agree to keep America's military cutting edge though - but to have the troops within our borders, and since we outspend everyone else by  a long shot I don't see why we cant cut the spending here massively.   Against any other nation state we are still the overwhelming favorite, but face it, we face invasion from no country, and our nuclear arsenal could obliterate our world if we so choose.

Then we could dominate it and be the ONLY shining city on a hill.  Wouldnt that be oh so nice?
