Bailout Rescue Plan Federal Reserve Socialism Corporatism Senate bill

Well, we all knew that was going to happen. This tyranny and ignorance is bound to prevail in these current state of affairs, or should I say affairs of state. What I am referring to is the passing of the Bailout or "Rescue" bill last night in the senate by 74 yeas to 25 nays. This bill is 451 pages long, do you think that anyone of those senators read this? What little bit that I read is pure dictatorial socialism. It is wrapped in pork for Republicans and Democrats alike, so those greedy politicians in Washington would pass it. It contains everything from wool research to addiction and mental health. What does that have to do with wall street?

We were told over two weeks ago that if this bill wasn't passed immediately, doom and gloom would be imminent. Do you know who told us this, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke, and the Secretary of Treasury, Henry Paulson. The two people who stand to gain the most if this bill is passed. However nothing that terrible has happened, in fact the dollar actually gained on the Euro. What is going on in this country when we have one person who is not even part of government, Bernanke, and one person who is not elected, Paulson, dictating policy?

This bill states, "Purposes of this act are to immediately provide authority and facilities that the secretary of the Treasury can use to restore liquidity and stability to the financial system of the United States." What? We are going to give one person, who is not even elected, the power over private liquidity and stability in the financial system? First off there is no such thing as guaranteed stability because there would be no such thing as supply and demand. Secondly if there were such a thing as certification of stability and liquidity, how and the hell can one person, who is not elected, the Secretary of Treasury, provide the "authority" to restore it?

This socialist bill also states, "To ensure that such authority and such facilities are used in a manner that, A, protects home values, college funds, retirement accounts, and life savings." Isn't that what this FDIC is for, oh wait, no it isn't, that is insurance, not ensure'ance. Can someone in the Senate who voted for this bill last night, please explain to me how one unelected person is going to ensure the value of my home or retirement account. What authority can stop me from let my house get run down, also if it does get run down, do I just call up Secretary Paulson and tell him that I want full value of my house, because he did "ensure" such value. Did I mention that he is not ELECTED!!!??

This is an appalling situation that we have gotten ourselves into fellow Americans. We are witnessing the fall of our once great Republic. We are watching it being torn apart by the Federal Reserve, special interest groups, and world banks. We have been witness to the most socialist and fascist bill in the history of the United States passing the Senate. It will probably pass the house Friday as well, with total disregard of their constituencies. These are some dark times when both of our candidates  voted yea last night.. Obama was somewhat expected to vote for such a bill, but not the supposed right wing candidate McCain, that is thought to be conservative and about personal liberty. He not only votes for this atrocity, but is a huge proponent of it. It is like we have to choose between Mussolini and Stalin.

We have to do something before it is too late. We have to take action before it is illegal to talk about this, before we are shot down for protesting,. We must make a stand before what little facade of freedom we have left ,is devoured by these tyrannical vultures. We can still make a statement in the voting booth, hopefully, unless that is rigged too. If we vote third party; we can show these neoconservative types that they do not have our support. We see through your two party system of oppression, we do not want to surrender our country to some puppet for corporatism. We will not stand idle while you pursue your political deportment in history. We are on to you and we will restore liberty and justice for all.

Geez, Savoy, I haven't heard such HYSTERIA since they threatened to take down a Nativity Scene in your town!  You're getting yourself waaaaay too worked up.  You're apt to have a heart attack the way you're looking at everything.

Can't you just see that SOMETHING has to be done to fix things in the financial markets or there's going to be HELL TO PAY.  You seem to think that because the SKY hasn't fallen yet, that it's not going to.  But you're wrong.  And you may be one of the first to feel it if you need to borrow some money.

Maybe you're like me and DON'T NEED to borrow any money.  I own my home, have a new (enough) car, pay off my credit card balances every month, and even though I have a son in college, I bought a prepaid tuition plan when he was 7.   But, I'm an old(er) guy who was frugal and cautious with my money.

Now for all those people who NEED to borrow money, you're going to have a meltdown before you have sunny days again without this bailout.  If they don't get some stability and liquidity in the banking system, the proverbial MUD PIE is gonna hit THE FAN!

You may WANT that to happen.  Many people think it WON'T happen.  But, you're ALL WRONG.  It's going to happen unless steps are taken RIGHT AWAY.

While we ALL hate the thought of a CZAR in charge of things, you can't have a committee doing it or it will never get done.  Your accusations that this is SOCIALISM just show that you don't know what SOCIALISM is.  This is a DICTATORSHIP, just like the military.  You have one General in charge, and everyone else takes orders from him.

The most disappointing part of it is that WHOEVER is elected President won't even have their own solution implemented.  Bush's crew is going to throw $700 billion into a big fund, then LEAVE OFFICE.  Bush and Paulsen will be retired somewhere ~ fat and comfy ~ and they'll leave THE WAR, the FINANCIAL CRISIS, the ENERGY CRISIS, the TERRORIST CRISIS, and the IMMIGRATION CRISIS for someone else to take care of.

That's those Republicans for ya.  They know when to GET OUT!
