911 Surrealistic Terror My own thoughts regarding 911by James Robyn

Surrealism and Dadaism are the two things that come to mind when I think of the events that occurred on that day in September. The surreal sight of a jet airliner plunging into the World Trade Center played over and over again by the news media. Two of the tallest buildings in the world crumbling down as if they were sand castles undermined by the surf followed by a gigantic artificial dust storm.
Government Dadaism
The eerie silence that followed as planes across America were grounded by order of the FAA leaving thousands of airline passengers stranded in airports is a classic example of closing the barn door after the horse was stolen. It would have been doubtful that the terrorists would have given an encore performance to an act of asymmetrical warfare unparalleled in history. Yet there aircraft sat on the tarmacs for days, while their passengers slept in lounge chairs or caught buses, trains and rented cars.
Stranger still was the fact that hours after the catastrophe. while rescue workers are searching for survivors among the smoldering ruins of the World Trade Center, the FBI claims that they were successful in uncovering the identity of all nineteen hijackers and linking them to the mysterious terrorist organization known as Al-Qaeda led by the enigmatic Usama Bin Laden already wanted according to their ten most wanted list for the US Embassy bombings in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya on August 7, 1998,
One wonders how they acquired so much intelligence so fast yet claim on the other hand that they had no foreknowledge of the attack? Those who bother to ask are treated to the strangest of strange coincidences of one of their agents finding the passport of Satam Al Suqami in miraculously pristine condition several blocks from the scene of the crime.
Speaking of the "scene of the crime" which unlike any crime scene in the history of forensic science is quickly carted away and sold for scrap as soon as the rescue workers have finished searching through the wreckage. A crime scene that involved the crash of two jet liners and the collapse of three major structures in their vicinity is never fully investigated by National Traffic and Safety Board, the New York Fire Department or even the FBI's own forensic research team.
Did I write three structures in error? Since we were shown the North and the South Tower collapsing continuously in the many news casts that followed while the collapse of World Trade Center Tower 7 was barely mentioned by most of the main stream media with the exception of the intrepid James Risen of the New York Times who reported that it contained the CIA's "clandestine New York Station". Of course nothing to see here folks let's move along.
Oddities never cease, especially when all the recordings taken by various cameras around the Pentagon, the other target that was supposedly hit by the hijacker Hani Hanjour doing a spectacular 270 degree spiraling maneuver with military precision, who according to records obtained from his flying school couldn't fly a kite, may be hyperbola but in reality according to one instructor couldn't competently fly a Cessna 150 never mind a Boeing 757 with the skill of a trained fighter pilot, were seized by the FBI.
Finally there is the hagiography of Todd Beamer who led a revolt by the passengers against the hijackers of Flight 93 the only flight that didn't make it to its intended target uttering the now oft quoted battle cry "let's roll". As we rolled into Afghanistan and later incongruently into Iraq, ostensibly to avenge our fallen comrades.
From the Surreal to the Sublime to the Ridiculous
Few bothered to ask why a handful of passengers on the doomed flight 93 where the only ones to actually defend this nation against an act of terrorism, while F-16s where scrambled and supposedly flew like "scalded apes" according to their pilots only to arrive just in time to witness the carnage and the Commander and Chief was sitting in a class room listening to a reading of 'My Pet Goat' while the World Trade Center burned.
Those that obstructed the investigations which may have led to the discovery of the terrorist cell where promoted. A new bureaucracy was added with the un-American name of Office of Home Land security and new legislation which eviscerated the Constitution was called the "PATRIOT act" was enacted.
Finally the 911 Commission was established after much resistance from the Executive Branch to give us a final version of the Government's explanation of the events that transpired which was eventually and suitably published in comic book form.

I admit I had to look up dadaism, always thought that was baby talk.

I also think all of Chalmers Johnson's books belong in your list, starting with Blowback from the year 2000.
I support open questions about 9/11 but here is a nice website for research that was done, suppose you could call it "anti-conspiracy" The explanations for the buildings falling and WTC 7 are interesting.

So what is your alternative theroy on the events? That the government planned the whole thing? The same government that has screwed up the social security, federal reserve, medicare, welfare, and no-child left behind. The same governemnet that was uncapable of covering up Watergate. The same government that messed up the mortgage crisis by artificially lowering rates?
The Government is too incompetent. To say that the government planned 911 and where successful in covering everything up is giving the government too much credit.
Face it: 19 highjackers did it, a lone gunman killed JFK, and we went to the moon. Sometimes the simple explanations although may seeming 'dadaistic' are true.
On the other hand to say that the government was responsible as a 'cause and effect' argument because of our foreign policies for the last decades, that is a different story. That is a more sound theory than the government was behind 911 because I can not beleive 19 highjackers could have done this, and then claim some bogus things that do not make sense to you.
you know i cant believe how people can be so simple minded and ignorant. i know that people are entitled to their OPINION but the TRUTH is that the government planned 911. whether people like to believe it or not or just simply dont care thats the truth.
