In a move that will defy (destroy?) the Constitution, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is proposing a Bail-out plan that can NOT be reviewed by the courts.
We must fight back. We must contact our elected Representatives and let them know they cannot get away with supporting this unprecedented move by the Government and Federal Reserve to take over the financial markets.
Most people do not have the economic or financial background to understand the inherent dangers of this market intervention. The Main Stream Media (MSM) is only telling one side of the story i.e. Bad Short-Sellers, Must protect the banks to protect the citizens, etc.
However, it is how FREE MARKETS WORK! The business cycles mustbe able to clear themselves without intervention. Intervention only makes the next downturn worse (and how much worse can it be NEXT TIME?)
When we, the citizens ,make a bad financial decision we have to pay for it. When the "Big Boys" make a mistake, the Taxpayers bail him out. That means that no matter WHO makes the bad decision, We, The People, have to pay for it. I don't mind cleaning upmy own mess, but why should I clean up theirs?
Rather than spending time trying to explain the nuances of this crisis (which would take a couple of hours) I have included a couple of links to articles which would do a better job than I would. If you would take the time to read them, you will see that we MUST act now. You MUST contact your Federal Elected Officials and let them know that we will NOT stand for this power-grab at our expense. Please,take the time to read these articles and then, follow the links to find your Representative.
This article is quite humorous, especially when it says
"It is very simple," the expert explains. "Government, business and individuals risk being paralyzed by debt. So we need to keep borrowing until the debt goes away."
As you can tell, we are at terrible risk of losing all we have worked for the last 225 years in this country. Do NOT, think that you voice doesn't matter. It is time for us to get of our lazy asses and take action. Write you Representatives, Email this post to EVERYONE you know.
