Pollsters, the Media and their Masters Pollsters and the media are proof corruption has no end.by Jonathan Cymberknopf

Having been upset my Miami Dolphins lost, I flipped the channel to the Fox News network since I think I may be a bit of a masochist. Low and behold, it did not take but the very first segment of the show to get my blood boiling. It turns out, Fox News very proudly lauded what they said was the latest Rasmussen poll. They showed McCain with 48% of the American vote and Obama with 48% of the American vote. Fox News even had a representative of the Rasmussen people on to legitimize the case.
When you add these numbers they total 96% of the vote. So what Fox News and this impartial poll is telling us that only 4% of the people, which is the only thing I can surmise from these results, are Undecided voters, Bob Barr voters, Ralph Nader voters, McKinney voters and Baldwin voters. Wow, with numbers like these who needs an election, ratings and manipulation are much more important.
Fox News, of course, wants to make the case that the Republicans got a bounce from their convention and Rasmussen was glad to help out. I am not saying these numbers are not correct, as I am sure if Fox News and more importantly the gentleman on TV representing the Rasmussen people properly disclosed what I am sure is a long list of disclosures that went along this poll, these numbers are accurate. You see, statistics and polling is a wonderful thing, as you can make it show anything you like with the proper equations, or in this case, questions asked, and omitting of course, those questions that may produce an undesirable end result.
From my experience, as I love watching politics as much as watching my Miami Dolphins; as you can see I'm a masochist, undecided voters with roughly 2 months left to election day without a single Presidential Debate been held should amount to around 10% of the voting population. I am making this number up, but I am sure if someone researches this, the figure should not be far from this, as a matter of fact, it may be higher. In this election cycle, I have also seen Ralph Nader poll as high as 6% and Bob Barr has been polling as high as 6% as well. I have even seen McKinney and Baldwin poll as high as 1% each.
So, I think it is fair to say that if you include: Undecided voters, Bob Barr voters, Ralph Nader voters and other Third Party Presidential Candidates, this 4% total is highly unlikely and incorrect. And therefore, McCain’s 48% and Obama’s 48% is also highly suspect and doubtful. But, again, we must not forget that the media which are in cahoots with the Two-Party system, which pays the pollsters, have an agenda to put forth.
To be fair, Fox News is not the only network and Rasmussen is not the only pollster doing this. It happens again and again as pollsters are a tool of the Duopoly meant to manipulate people. First and Foremost on the agenda, is making sure Americans are well brainwashed and reinforce the myth that a vote for someone other than the Duopoly is a wasted vote. Secondly, by not showing any Third Party or Independent candidate on the poll, they accomplish not giving any undue exposure or publicity to a possible threat to the establishment or the Two-Party system. After all, they wouldn't want to give anyone the idea or the knowledge to the average American that there is another choice for President they could possibly vote for. This is why the Presidential debates are also rigged so they do not include anyone else. The same, of course, goes for the restrictive ballot access laws that make it nearly impossible to get on the ballot.
I was listening to Rush Limbaugh the other day, as I said before, I may be a bit of a masochist; and heard him say to one of his callers that all the pollsters are being paid by the Democrats and so he doesn't believe in them. Well, this may be a half true as I am sure the Republicans have a hand in them too. I hope my article serves as motivation for someone to follow the money, but of course, that's only possible if there is transparency which I am not so sure. As Ralph Nader says "there can be no daily democracy without daily citizenship".
I know a lot of people, including friends, think I am crazy for getting upset at a mere poll being repeated over and over by the TV networks, but it is the mantra of the media basically saying I know Americans are stupid and so we will continue to manipulate them, which irritates me the most.
I know most Americans are not as stupid as the media and the Duopoly think they are. Part of me hopes they keep this farce going as it galvanizes more and more people to wake up and challenge or leave the Two Party system all together. I know it did with me.

FOX had been so disgustingly bias in it's reporting of this entire election it's not funny. You give comments negative to McCain in any way and they do not post it. Obama is trying to appease FOX into giving unbiased reports is why he went on The Bill O'Reilly Factor and why he had a meeting with FOX 3 months ago.
The polls are all over the place. One site will show Obama up +6 and the next site tied with McCain. FOX of course would be the one that shows as tied.
This article raises a few important questions, but I have to disagree on one point for sure. I think the 4% is actually correct. Yes, Bob Barr and Ralph Nader have polled as high as 6%... but I think this is only in 1 or 2 states. 2-3% is actually considered high for both Ralph Nader and Bob Barr. In most states they were polling lower than that (hopefully we can change for the better). So anyways, 4% is no surprise to me. I think, rather than trying to make a case that this 4% is incorrect, it would be better to go after the media on issues like only reporting the numbers for McCain and Obama. We could make cases such as "hearing the names of the other candidates and their polling numbers will help everyone know where the votes are going, votes that if swayed could potentially decide a TIE!!!" or "there should never be any less than three voices in an election because when one voice has it wrong, there are two other voices to challange the one wrong voice... when there are only two voices, a wrong idea is only challenged by an opposing side that is expected to oppose anyways". These are the arguements we all need to be making!!!
