For John McCain: How About Taking Off Our STUPID Hats And Putting On Our "Won't Be Fooled Again" Hats?

Grow Up And Stop Worshipping At the Feet of BS Masters Like McCain

Ok, the jig's up. Style has trumped substance on every front.

As a nation so used to worshipping even the most moronic "celebs" who look or sound a certain way instead of looking up to great minds and talents, maybe the US is just getting what deserves:  candidates based on image, the most catchy jingles and phrases, and the ones that are most deft at obscuring facts and rewriting history like plane hot-rodding and crashing, I mean " shot down war hero" John McCain and company.

He recently blithered, in the face of the approaching hurricane Gustav " It's time to take our Republican hats off and put our American hats on."

Uh-huh.

Sounds good!

Let's say it over and over and maybe add " AMEN!!!".

Doesn't matter that this was simply timed to SOUND good during a political campaign. It doesn't matter that McCain apparently misplaced his American hat for the past three years and never bothered with trying to help with the Gulf reconstruction after Katrina. Nope, he worked for the increased destruction of wetlands that act as the only natural barrier to hurricane water urges. Nor did he even bother with trying to help the people screwed --  no, devastated --- by the tricky insurance companies using every trick in the book to not pay Gulf Katrina victims who had been paying their premiums for years, even decades.

His American hat was missing when a vote came up to establish a Congressional commission to find out why the federal, state and local response to Katrina had been not only dismal but death and horror causing.

His American hat must have been at the cleaners when he voted "no" for supplemental emergency funding including hurricane relief. But he couldn't wait to vote to throw this country in the black pit hell of non-ending deficits and never ending war.

McCain used hurricane Gustav as nothing more than a handy PR tool.

And no sooner was word out that Palin's teen daughter was preggers then he used THAT, blasting the Democrats for spreading "smears" when, in fact, what happened was that various bloggers and such wrote about Palin's mysterious lack of pregnancy symptoms ( her staff didn't know she was pregnant until she told them at 7 months) and had heard the open secret that her daughter was now pregnant.

McCain and his disgusting, truth-twisting handlers want you to believe that it was some kind of concerted Democratic Party orchestrated plot to be mean to Palin and her teen daughter. They are positively gleeful over being able to throw these ridiculous accusations Obama's way.

By the way, remember when McCain once again not only forgot his American but his gentleman  and HUMAN DECENCY hat and  called Chelsea Clinton " ugly" when she was just a child in the White House?

Of course, he's a big Christian... you know, the adulterer who not too long ago called his wife a "c*nt" and excused her drug pilfering scam via a non-profit "charity"  and got her off the legal hook -- while how many people rot in jails for smoking pot in this country ?Oh, but he has on his "American hat". Which Americans wear that particular style -- the white, moneyed, I -can-do-whatever-I-want hypocritical Narcissists?

If this country falls for his baloney and fact twisting, if you fall for his just plain mean spiritedness hidden behind his well-honed eyes-narrowed, jaw jutting posturing and his spouting of jingoism , then the once great US of A will get what she deserves. But it's a tragedy.

Here's hoping enough people take off their dunce caps and put on their intelligent hats and their big guy and big girl pants and learn to get the facts and not take bullsh*t slogans for the truth.

Can they leave their American hats on, please. And, masybe add a Constitution hat. Or, a truth hat? Is that too much to ask?
