How nice it is to be included

Hello all. I was most excited to join this blog log, a great opportunity to share ideas with other people. Then I found out that this is a Liberterian talk fest, including Ron Paul fanaticism.

I did get one responce, welcom to the Liberal, well so be it.

One thing that I do know, Ron Paul will not become president of the country this time or any time, the blimp is real nice but about as relevant as his campaign.

You know I have a very good friend that is putting all his effort and some money behind Denis Kucinich. Now Kucinich is certainly a nice guy. Has some good ideas and I like him, but he sits in the same place as RP, unelectable.

Come on get with it. This is the US and you don't get elected from the fringe. We have several possibilities.

Huckabee--surging because of the radical and overly religious right. Scares the hell out of me.

Guliani--People outside of NY like him, but those that know him-Scares the hell out of me.

Mitt  Romney--Interesting but being Mormon -Scares the hell out of me.

Hillary Clinton--Really like her and the job she does here in NY but I really want her to stay as senator. In the Whithouse more of the same, perhaps more to the left but not enough, and beholding to the power people.

Barack Obama--Inexperienced, dreamy, but there is something there, perhaps can't put my finger on it but I do know if there is going to be any change away from the status quo, he is the only chance.

Look forward to your centrist comments.

I'd say nothing is written in stone until it's done. With that said, it's a wide open race, and it's still too early to start laying your political forecasting reputation on any particular horse, and while he does face a solidly uphill battle, crazier things have happened, like Jimmy Carter. At anyrate, I look forward to seeing your future articles.

Frogboy, my previous welcome was genuine. I really am glad you are here. Despite the fact that I'm a libertarian, I created this website precisely because I know how important it is to have full participation from all political camps.

The main reason libertarian thought is often thought of as "fringe" (to use your word) is because it isn't usually included in the national debate on issues. For this reason, it is never discussed, and it is therefore poorly understood by most non-libertarians.

This website aims to change that. There is always a tendency for "like to attract like," and in this case that means libertarians attracting libertarians here in the early phases of this website's development. But it can't stop there. We must also bring in liberals, conservatives, centrists, and even pure statists (including both fascists and socialists). I'm hoping you'll brave it out and invite some liberal friends of yours over to this website to write columns with you. I invite you to do that. In fact, I urge you to do that.

I'm also hoping the same thing happens with some conservative bloggers. Because in the end, unless we include all political camps in the national issue debates, we're going to continue to exclude an awful lot of people in this country from the national debate, people who have otherwise given up because they found that they don't fit into the traditional left-right spectrum.

Perhaps I can make this whole point more clearly by referencing the Green Party, for whom I suspect you might have some sympathy. Green viewpoints are also often excluded from the national debate, except for a few patently Green issues such as global warming. Again, this is something that the Nolan Chart website aims to change. Green viewpoints need to be fully integrated in the national debate in order for their arguments to be truly represented.

Hi ya Froggie, I luv Liberals. Are you green like Kermit?

Does it supprise you if I agree with ALL your non Ron Paul evaluations [maybe for different reasons]?

You should know that the term Liberal was originally meant in in the Jeffersonian Contstitutional sense [ now, Libertarian ]. It was the lying Socialist who co-opted the word liberal for their uses.

The reason that I luv real liberals [not socialist] is that they are "easy" [liberal girls are also much more fun than convervative ones, if you get my drift.].

They are easy to convert into Ron Paul liberals and I am looking forward to doing that to you in the near future.

HA !
