A common beginning to many of Barrack Obama's stump speeches is, "I've often said that this election is a defining moment in our history. On major issues like the war in Iraq or the warming of our planet, the decisions we make in November and over the next few years will shape a generation, if not a century." I completely agree with Senator Obama, the choices we make will impact us throughout the remainder of this century. When considering how these election votes will shape a generation it is important to truly embrace the change his message represents by clearly understanding his change.
Too often I hear supporters of Barrack Obama miss the real change he proposes. His message is straight out of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the party faithful yet the voters seem to be unaware of the plain language definitions behind his message. In studying his "Blueprint for Change" it is easy to see the roots of large, single party government socializing the needs of the masses, whether the masses want to be taken care of or not. Combine his answers to the issues with a Democratic grip on the Congress and the shape of our government for the next generation will be one of authoritarian socialism. This is the real face behind what is masked as "Change We Can Believe In."
It has long been the goal of the DNC to aid in the creation of a polarized nation, or the facade of polarization existing, combined with the opportunity to take complete control of the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Federal Government. This goal leads the DNC toward party supremacy, a fundamental requirement for developing an authoritarian state. They are steep in their belief the DNC, through control of both branches, can best help the public welfare by providing the greatest good for the greatest number, equity rather than efficiency; duties rather than rights. This is both elitist and utilitarian which are both characteristics found in authoritarian socialism.
This article is not being written to argue the pros and cons of authoritarian socialism vs. democratic socialism or republican capitalism. Although this is the key debate we should be having the first step for all voters is to understand what they are supporting. If given the real face of Obama's message of change, that of authoritarian socialism, many of his supporters may pause in their tracks while reevaluating their support. Many believe we have reached a time in our history where we must embrace socialism and we must have a strong, centralized government to accomplish this goal. Still others are confused by the smokescreen of the Obama campaign. Those that understand their candidates message and support it are in the right camp. My question to every Obama supporter is simple;
Are you aware of the real change you claim to be embracing and is that the future you want for your children's children, that of authoritarian socialism?

You conservatives are ALL ALIKE ~ always screaming that the world is coming to an end if anyone wants to take things in a different direction than you do. Hysteria, fear, and threats ~ that's your basic premise.
Of course we need ~ deserve! ~ nationalized healthcare. We're the only country in the world WITHOUT it. It's uncivilized NOT to have it. Of course we've GOT to get out of IRAQ. It was an INVASION not a war. Get those GUNS out of people's hands. This isn't the 1700's anymore. Get those VOUCHER PLANS out of our schools. Get some LIBERALS on the SUPREME COURT. Scalia and his brood of "original intent" bigots have GOT to be outvoted!
Scream all you want this time. We're on to the hysteria and fear and threats. I just hope when Obama is elected Prez that there's a country left after Bush screwed it up as badly as he did! We're going to LIBERALIZE everything we can! Hope you like having the tables turned on the CONSERVATIVE crap that we had to live through with YOUR proud group of IDIOTS. Rumsfeld, Bush, Cheney, and now Paulson! Good riddance to the WORST President and his collegues we've EVER HAD!
The assumption that this is my group of cronies is interesting. I'm not as much a conservative as a constitutionalist and Bush / Cheney have placed that document in jeopardy of becoming a footnote in history.
Of course, this will please you as it counters the liberal march toward socialism Obama and crew support. The challenge with socialism in our country is it is a very expensive route and thanks to the failed poicies of both Dems and Repubs over the past century we are past broke. Socialism is no longer a viable option and we shall see that fact when he and the Congress are overtaken and the policies you support are placed into practice only to complete our ruin as a Federalist Republic. Neither Obama nor McCain have the answers yet we will suffer through and those supporting socialism will learn the sad economic reality.
Hi Gary, If the points you mention come to fruition in the future, you will be looked upon as visionary! But you could have easily substituted Republican Party for Democratic and Bush, Cheney for Obama and these things would be true today. Socailism of any kind, is nothing but large government proven by large expenditures and supported by large taxes. Rupub or Demo, we have had that since Roosevelt. Bush is the biggest, ever and Reagan was not far behind. Greenspan was supposedly a Libertarian, he controlled the Fed, that would be like Nancy Reagan selling crack when she had spare time off from her "Just Say No" drug campaign! Ideology has no meaning today, we have to base our judgements on actions.
Gene, you're quite right, both the Dems and Repubs are both liable for the destruction of the Constitution and ruin of the founder's experiments. I just completed the book "Who Killed the Constitution?" (Dr. Gutzman will be our guest on Nov 23 at 7pm on our March of Liberty radio show, do tune in). We're far beyond recovery from any usual means considered viable such as the use of the ballot box or juror box. Obama's (Peolos, Reid, etc.) reign will serve to further show the disaster of a national govt. caring for the citizenry...it fails in a violent death.
Our future is bleak regarding the restoration of the Old Republic. Yet, the next four years should prove to be an excellent time for recruiting people to the fundamental core of Republicanism. The nation that arises from the next four years will be quite different than what we know but there is hope. Thank you for your insights!
okay. i dont agree or dissagree with anything about bush or any recent presedent. that being said iwill go on with my next comments. obama has said
"My first priority will be to reinstate the assault weapons ban as soon as I take office. Within 90 days, we will go back after kitchen table dealers, and work to end the gun show and internet sales loopholes. In the first year, I intend to work with Congress on a national no carry law, 1 gun a month purchase limits, and bans on all semi-automatic guns."

LOOK AT THAT!!! HE IS CONSPIRING TO COMMIT TREASON AGAINST THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. OBAMA NEEDS TO BE ARRESTED FOR CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT TREASON! in the constitution it doesnt say that you can own a weapon as long as you have a permit, or as long as its not semi-automatic. it says your right to keep and bear arms will not be infringed. so according to the constitution you are allowed to carry a gun on your at all times without a *CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT*. if you were ever to be arrested for haveing a gun on you and not owning a permit, than the arresting officer and all who wish to prosocute you should be arrested for treason. we need to take this country back from this tyrannical government. so all who wish to live free needs to call your senators and republicans and get them to start the impeachment process and obama... one last thing. isn't it weird that Obama was allowed to be sworn into office on the QUARAN AND NOT THE HOLY BIBLE!
